I didnât read what it was made out of. I took it out and my kid ran up and grabbed it. Fiberglass everywhere in both our hands, floor and clothing. Nightmare only pull it out if you need it.

Fire blanket is nice and durable. Itâs thick enough to smother a fire and assuming it wonât burn up. Letâs hope I never have to use to find out. Itâs compact enough to take anywhere. I keep one in my kitchen and one when I go camping.

Painless to handle - no glass fibres embedded in skin
This is the product to buy. I bought another cheeper product but glass fibres became embedded in my skin, causing pain. I returned it and bought this product instead because it had the best reviews. Sure enough, handling this product does not cause any problems - no glass fibres embedded in skin. Buy this one. Not the others.
Glad to have something I hope I never use!
Finally purchased a fire blanket for my kitchen after seeing them advertised. I got 2 blankets for the price which is a fair deal for the price. Installed it on the wall near my stove. Itâs important to use a sturdy hook so the blanket doesnât fly off the wall when grabbing for it in a fire situation. There are many fire blankets available and I hope the one I chose is good quality. I have no way to tell until I use it, which I hope I never do! I have confidence in this product. It does say fibreglass blanket on the front. I feel so much better with this in my kitchen, especially since my children like to cook. We do have an extinguisher but I donât feel comfortable using that and it would make a big mess. Itâs a good back-up to have, but the blanket will the first thing I grab if needed.
