Build quality is good do like the big flange it covers the old lock marks and the vacant/in use is very clearcon;Can use better instruction on how to reverse it had to go you tube to see how is done

This is a commercial quality and design privacy lockset for use on rest rooms and dressing/changing rooms. It is designed and built much heavier than a residential lockset and has additional parts to make it stronger and to make it last longer and work smoothly. There are additional parts in a commercial lockset and it installs a little bit differently. It also has slightly larger trim. I like the quality and finish of this privacy lockset.

First of all the description says the material and finish are stainless steel but in reality the finish looks more like satin nickel. That might be fine in some instances but most hardware that is found where these are likely going to be used is brushed chrome or satinless steel. The next and most important thing I have to say about these is the quality is not very good. The mechanism is not as easy to turn as other indicator privacy sets and when the door is open and unlocked the indicator does not return fully to the desired position. It seems it is always somewhere in between. I took too long and failed to start a return in time so I am stuck with 4 of these less than stellar pieces of hardware. Pay the extra money and get a better one. We ordered Vizilok and they work fine and the finish looks right.

I like this product a lot. It is well made, heavy duty,, and covers old installations well. It looks great and seems to be doing the job on 5 heavily used public bathrooms in our facility. It has an adjustable backset as well. On some of our bathroom doors , they had installed commercial security latches which leave a nasty mark on the door and this products outer rings covers it well. My only wish would be that it had a foolproof lock that disengages when the door closes. Time will tell about the durability.

To start, the 1st handle i received was faulty and had to be returned. The seller was good about the return, which was much appreciated,and primarily why I'm giving an extra star on my review. As far as the install, the instructions provided are absolutely terrible, which was to some extent, expected. I had to look up youtube videos to really get an idea of how to get the pin key to pop off that handle on the install, which was definitely the most aggravating part of the whole ordeal. All in all, the handle works okay, though the handle does not always snap back to the original position when pulled down on opening. And there's a sticky plastic film on the portion that says "occupied", that i could not completely get off, due to the fragile wire and inner workings behind it. I geuss we'll see how long this handle holds up. I may update my review further later on.
Stopped working within a month

Locking Mechanism is Cheap
The look of this lock is very professional, the item seemed durable on first inspection but after install the locking mechanism would get stuck at the half way point and would refuse to lock without "jiggling" the handle. After an hour of trying to adjust the lock to function properly I gave up and ordered a higher end lock. Disappointed as the higher end lock does not have the vacancy/in use sign but at least it works properly.
