It always has ice ready, plenty for about 1-2 glasses which for a single person is plenty enough. You do have to fill it up with water occasionally, but it's easy as just pouring a couple glasses of water over the ice.I was worried that it might run out of water when I need ice the most and not have any ice, but it's not really a problem because you can tell when it's low on water not only because it has an indicator light to tell you, but even prior to the indicator light turning on the ice will look different.You see, the ice compartment and the water compartment are the same. At first that seems weird because wouldn't the ice melt if it's in the same compartment as standing water? It does, and it gradually melts into the bottom part of the compartment and when it fills up enough with water the machine just remakes the ice, so it is constantly working.That means you can tell when it is getting low on water because it will only have sufficient water to produce ice once enough of it has melted, so you will always find your ice partially melted rather than fully formed when you check the ice maker. When you see the ice all looks smaller than usual you know the machine is low on water and you can add water prior to the indicator light coming on.Thus, you never run into the problem of coming to the machine and finding there is no ice at all.My only complaint so far is that because the ice is technically always melting, it causes the ice to stick together. I stopped using the scooper that comes with it because very often the ice is clumped and I need to basically grab the clump with my hand and smash it down to break it apart. It's not a huge deal because it's fairly easy to do, but it is a bit annoying.Keep in mind the fact it is constantly working means you will hear it make noises even when you're asleep. It's not particularly loud, it is just every few hours you will hear the noise of the newly produced ice being dumped into the water/ice compartment. I don't really care about this too much but I mention it in case this might bother other people.Personally, I like the machine a lot, and the only thing that will make me consider coming back and lowering my score is if it stops working sometime soon. I have not even been using this for a full year yet. If it does not last a year that would drastically impact my score. If it lasts at least 5 years I will not change my review at all.

Out of the box it performed perfectly. Made ice cubes in under 9 minutes. Only downside is the area that collects the ice is no refridgerated so the ice will melt. Ice that melts will drain into the water container and be re-made into ice cubes in an endless cycle. Drops 9 bullet ice cubes per cycle. Filling the water container to the max mark yields about 8 cycles before the unit flashes the red light that it needs more water. Impressed with this machine.

I’ve been using this countertop ice maker for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s a solid machine that performs well for the price. It’s convenient, fairly quick, and produces a steady flow of ice. The “6-minute ice-making” feature is impressive on paper—and it really does start producing ice within that time—but there are some things to know before relying on it for constant, ready-to-use cubes.The main downside is the type of ice it makes. The cubes aren’t completely solid; they come out more like a wet freeze, so they tend to melt quickly if not handled immediately. Because of that, you have to be diligent about transferring the cubes to your freezer right away. Even then, since they’re so moist, they tend to freeze together in clumps, which means you’ll often need to break them apart before using.I’ve found the best way to use this machine is to run it while you’re in the kitchen for an hour or so. That way, you can collect batches of ice regularly and get them into the freezer before they start melting. It’s not quite a “set it and forget it” appliance—you do have to babysit it a bit.Also worth noting: it’s a bit bulky for a countertop model. Make sure you have space for it, especially if you plan to keep it out permanently.In short, this ice maker works well and is a good value for the price, but it does take some management to get the most out of it. The EUHOMY countertop ice maker has become an essential small appliance in our home! After using this on a regular basis, I can’t imagine going back to making ice cubes in the freezer. The compact design fits perfectly on my counter and is easy to use. It makes a batch of 9 ice cubes in as little as 6 minutes and makes 26lbs of ice in 24 hours. The 1.2L water tank makes a good amount of ice and the sound level is minimal. The only drawback I can see is that I wish it kept the ice cold a bit longer in the basket. This EUHOMY ice maker is in black is definitely a great value and one my family now cannot live without.

Only one size cube. It's a decent size for ice coffee and seems to fill the basket every hour. So that's a Gallon ziplock bag of ice 6x a day. I think you'll find it worth the money. Also. My kitchen is hot! And it works well under those conditions. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I love this gem! Easy to use, set up, and has a small footprint so it's right on the kitchen table this summer. Big plus: it drink more water when the ice is so handy to get to. Not as handy as a microwave but close. Oh, and if it fills up with ice and you don't get a chance to use it or put it in the freezer, the ice will melt back into the container and will make more ice with it.

Makes ice with no problem. Four stars only though as it is noisy. It does make ice more quickly than we thought it would. Easy to use and clean. Alerts when ice is ready to use or if water needs to be added - good things.
