Way better than Dukes, doesn’t have that bitter/unpleasant flavor. It has more flavor and an umami quality that Hellmann’s doesn’t. The texture is goopier and more viscous than Hellmann’s (which has an airy/whipped consistency). I like to use both Kewpie and Hellmann’s for certain uses, and sometimes mixed together.

This mayo is far superior to most American mayonnaises. It does not contain seed oils, for one thing. The only drawback is that it does contain MSG, which might be problematic for some people. It's great for in chicken or egg salad, as well as for in Japanese ramen. Do be cautious when purchasing this and read the ingredients. I've seen others on Bolo with the same brand name, but the ingredients are quite different.
