This is neither a coffee press, nor does it use disposable single serve pods. It is a single serve, electric drip coffee maker for grinds, that does exactly what it is suppose to without issue. If you are someone who believes sometimes less is more, this may be for you.... no extra bells or whistles to go wrong. It comes with a reusable filter, which is great from the perspective of less paper waste, but you may still want to use paper filters, depending upon the grind of your coffee. I liked that it came with an easy to use and replace charcoal water filter that is optional to use. I also liked that it came with a double walled cup with lid and straw for iced coffee that fits perfectly. Buying a decent one separately will usually run you at least $8-$10, so it definitely adds value to this coffee maker. The water reservoir is small and non removable, just perfect for one large cup, and easy to get into to clean properly, another plus. Inside the resevoir is a sort of step measure you can use as well. If you like large reservoirs (which can be difficult to clean if built in, or have alignment issues if removable) this won't be for you. Two buttons, one for hot, one for cold. Hit it once to start, once to turn off, or just wait for it to shut off itself, which it does pretty quickly after it finishes brewing. Not programmable, brews quickly. It has a small profile on the counter top also, making it great for small spaces. Great for single people who just want a freshly brewed cup of cofee when they want it with minimal waste and hassle. The drip pan in the base is easily removable for cleaning and stays in place. There is no base height adjustment, so cup size may help if you have splashing issues, but I had no issue with splashing myself. So far, I'm very happy with it, and given my history with this brand, I fully expect that to remain the case, although I haven't used this model previously.

I've had the coffee maker for six months and I have no complaints; it makes pretty good hot coffee. I didn't want one of those pod coffee makers that contributes plastic to the landfill and makes mediocre weak coffee. So far, I’m happy with it, one thing that I had to get used to was that it takes twice as much coffee for a strong cup than my old coffee press.

This is the second one I have purchased. The first Mr. Coffee, was only a cold brew machine which I loved! My brother somehow ruined it. I purchased the newer model and it has both cold brew & hot brew buttons.Love it cute, and works great!

I bought this because the coffee in my 1 cup coffee maker was not hot enough.This one is hotter (although it could still be a bit hotter) and the coffee is much more delicious!I’m very happy with it.

Perfect! POD free - so I can make a cup of coffee as strong as I want it to be. Takes up less counter space than my old Keurig. And the iced coffee maker is a definite plus.
