I can tell because now and then I get a tart one. The color is dark from the very ripe original pineapples I’ll bet. They look like any other dried pineapple rings but because they have been squished in a bag they are compressed. Pull them apart. They’re yummy.

I’ve eaten a 16 ounce bag in one day can’t stop eating once you start., they ran out for about two months, but they have a new supply in. I’ve been eating them for about two years occasionally you’ll get a bag to her a little dry, but that’s expected with anything you buy it been dehydrated but overall they’re always nice and moist and chewy and delicious. I can’t eat just one like I said I understand they’ve made arrangements supposedly so that they don’t run out next year like they did this year and the year before so that’s a plus for me cause I always send them an email teasing them that I’m going into withdrawal from not having the pineapple. I’ve tried several other pineapple brands on Bolo and they don’t hold up to this brand so that’s all I can say about it.

The bag I received was more like pineapple leather. I’ve had no sugar added and sulfur free pineapple from other purveyors and none of them were like this stuff. I had trouble chewing it and it got gummed up between my teeth with very little pineapple taste.

This pineapple had such a bad, funky, overripe smell when the bag was first opened that I almost threw it out. I checked the reviews and saw that some mentioned that. The fruit looked fine, so I hesitantly ate a small amount. It was delicious. After a couple of days, the smell totally went away. Some of the rings were stuck together, but I just pulled them apart. They were chewy and delicious. I toasted some of them lightly, and they were great. Despite that funky smell, I can highly recommend them. I plan to buy again. Taste is 5 stars; the 4 star rating is to draw attention to that smell.🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍

This has no added sugar. It’s the best brand I’ve tried. Don’t expect it to be bright yellow. Natural drying process without adding sugar results in a browner color & a chewier texture which is fine with me. Rings become stuck together in the bag. This is unavoidable due to stickiness of the natural sugars. Product quality has been consistent with multiple purchases.
