I found the Ricewater shampoo to have a really nice scent and lathered really well. My hair felt squeaky clean after it was rinsed. On to the real test...the conditioner...I wet the bar under the shower stream and rubbed it between my hands, and then sort of painted my wet hair with the bar itself to get more conditioner to come off (I like a ton of conditioner to lube my hair up so I can get the knots out)... I gotta say, this conditioner worked as well as the bottled conditioner that I've been using (the purple labeled curlsmith). And, best part is that once dried, my curls actually look great...shiny, not frizzy, and bouncy. I hope to continue loving these bars. I'll update my review if I stop loving them.

I don’t make many reviews, but i making one on these bars. First used 6/3/25 hair felt amazing, it was full, it had volume. I have very thick hair and I’ve tried so many different shampoos and conditioners but even after thoroughly washing my hair it always felt greasy after a wash. For once after washing my hair it was not greasy instead it was soft and no frizz.Update: its now two days post wash and my hair is still so soft, no tangles no grease. 5 stars from me best shampoo n conditioner i have ever used.Side note i have less hair fallout/breakage!

Today I received a replacement for the package I received yesterday that had a hole in it. The product I received today is fine. I’ve actually already used it and I absolutely love it!!My only issue is I wish that Catherine from Customer Service had told me that it had to be returned. Since I had just returned from vacation, I was going through mail throwing everything away that I didn’t need and had thrown away the product. It wasn’t getting hard. Then I get an email saying that I had to return it so it was already in the dumpster and now I’m going to have to pay for it but that’s a lesson learned for me as well. I will ask next time. All in all I love this product and I will be ordering it again. Just an FYI, always ask if the item needs to be returned lol

I waited until I had a few washes in to make a review, and the results are in: it’s good!I’ve been trying to find a shampoo that meets a few specific requirements, which is easier said than done. One, it must make my coarse and unruly mane of hair less of a hassle to manage. Two, it must not interfere with my ongoing issues of shedding and scalp irritation. Three, I don’t want to contribute more to landfill waste than absolutely necessary. Four, it needs to clean my hair well without relying on harsh chemicals that irritate my scalp.Yes yes, I know, I’m picky and sensitive about my hair products. But these bars meet 3.5 out of 4 of my needs (we’ll get to that half-point). The shampoo and conditioner are both great. The shampoo lathers and cleans like a liquid shampoo, and the conditioner applies easily and leaves my hair silky, stronger, and full of volume. Point one, check. It also doesn’t seem to irritate my scalp or contribute to shedding. Point two, check.The paper packaging is fantastic… though I’m not a fan of the bars themselves being wrapped in plastic sleeves that aren’t recyclable. Modern Mammals manages to use only cardboard packaging, so I don’t see why that’s not possible here. Still, it’s less plastic than a full bottle, so I’ll give it half a check.Fourth and final point; no harsh chemicals. It scored an 86/100 (“Excellent”) on Yuka, so that’s a check!I’ve tried other bar shampoos before, and they either fall apart too quickly or don’t lather or clean well (Modern Mammals, unfortunately, had both of those problems). So far, that’s not the case here. These bars are sturdy and hold up well to thick hair. Plus, they’re budget-friendly compared to liquid shampoo.I just wish they didn’t use plastic in the packaging, but otherwise, great product!

I’ve waited to write a review that was true and honest. I purchased this in December 2024 and it’s now May 14th 2025. I still haven’t gone through my bars yet! I wash my hair every other day and my bars are still going. I can say I have truly noticed a change in my hair. Before I would have almost like a film from shampoo and conditioner and I have not experienced that once with these shampoo and conditioner bars. My hair feels clean and I am losing way less hair in the shower , and also growing new hair! For the amount this cost it is 100% worth every penny. One thing I do that may help my bars last long is that they each have a separate tray that drains and I always rinse off each bar after using to get the suds off. I also take them out of the shower so they aren’t exposed to the humidity . Who knows if that’s why it lasts so long but I am about saving every dime I can! Trust me buy this! I won’t go back to bottle shampoo and conditioner again.

My hair was starting to fall out and I was panicking. It was thinning and I felt like I was losing my mind trying to find a decent shampoo and conditioner that didn’t make it feel like it was expediting the process. I had seen Kitsch and loved the natural ingredients first and foremost but then after trying it I absolutely fell in love with the ease of using the bars and the way it made my hair feel. A month or two after using it my hair felt fuller and healthier. Fast forward and my hair is back to normal, no more breakage and loss. I will forever recommend kitsch to anyone. I love that it has a variety of scents and for different hair types but also how it’s not in plastic bottles!! Get you some, you won’t regret it.

Im in love with this shampoo and conditioner! It checks all the requirements I’m looking for: no plastic, no harsh chemicals, no hormones disrupters or cancerigen ingredients. The shampoo lathers beautiful and leaves the hair squicky clean and the conditioner makes it soft and hydrated right away. It dried beautiful with only the blowing part of the hair dryer, no need for brush.I recommend it a lot for people who had enough of hair care full of bad stuff for your scalp and littering plasticMy hair is straight and thin and soft

I was pleasantly surprised by the smell, it’s light and doesn’t linger after you wash and condition. I bought the set after a friend recommended them. I don’t know that I saw much hair regrowth after a couple of months of using both, but I am noticing less fall, and my hair has been smoother. I did find it was easier to use both the shampoo and conditioner bars with the mesh bag, than on their own, and it helped to generate a better lather. I don’t always find the shampoo alone is enough to make my hair feel clean, so I do sometimes shampoo with a regular shampoo first, especially after a workout or skipping a day for hair washing. I also do really appreciate that it is plastic free packaging.

Meilleur conditioner solide que j’ai pu tester.La formule est incroyable.Les cheveux sont soyeux, nourris et revigorés.Le shampoing rend les cheveux doux mais possède une composition moins adaptée à un cuir chevelu gras.Je trouve ça dommage que l’on ne puisse pas acheter le conditioner indépendamment du shampoing.La seule chose que je peux trouver à redire c’est qu’en comparant avec d’autres marques, je trouve que le conditioner et shampoing kitsch se consument rapidement.Cependant, la formulation est si bien travaillée que je continuerai à en racheter.
