Bulk is not always cheaper. I purchased this gallon bucket (a gallon is a fluid measure, which is 128 fluid ounces) of quick oats for $22.99. It contains 50 dry oz of oats (1.40 kg). The label has "1 gallon" and "1.40 kg" printed in that order. I didn't pencil it out. A 42 dry oz container of Quaker quick oats @ Big Y supermarket is $7.89. Bucket, almost 46 cents an oz, vs supermarket container, almost 19 cents an oz.

I recently purchased the Earthborn Elements Quick Oats in the 1 Gallon bulk size, and I have a couple of concerns about this product. Firstly, the use of "one gallon" as a measurement for oats seems somewhat unconventional. Gallons are typically used for liquids, and quantifying oats in gallons felt strange to me.Upon receiving the product, I found that it came in a gallon-sized bucket, but it didn't seem to contain as many oats as I expected. The amount of oats in a "gallon" can vary widely depending on factors like how compacted or fluffy the oats are. In my case, I went through the entire gallon within a week, which was surprising. I do consume a fair amount of oatmeal due to my love for its taste and health benefits, but this container didn't last nearly as long as I anticipated.Comparing this to the Bolo Basics large-sized quick oats container, which I believe is 16 oz, the Earthborn Elements 1 Gallon product fell short in terms of longevity. While oat consumption varies among individuals, I found that this product didn't provide the value I was hoping for.In conclusion, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend the Earthborn Elements Quick Oats 1 Gallon. The unconventional measurement and the quick depletion of the oats left me somewhat disappointed. Instead, I would suggest considering the smaller or larger-sized options from Bolo Basics for a more reliable and cost-effective source of quick oats.
