Ingredients:
1 cup fresh calamus leaves
1 bottle of a spirit of your choice
1 large glass jar with a tight-fitting lid
Cheesecloth
Instructions:
-Rinse the calamus leaves and chop them roughly.
-Put the chopped leaves into the glass jar.
-Pour the bottle of spirit over the leaves.
-Close the lid tightly and store the jar in a cool, dark place for 2-4 weeks, shaking occasionally.
-After 2-4 weeks, strain the liquid through a cheesecloth into another clean glass jar.
-Discard the leaves and store the infused spirit in the refrigerator.
