The best feature is the presteam mode that really helps loosen old grime and dried urine. Then going into the steamwash mode thoroughy cleans and sucks up everything that doesn't belong in the carpet. The quick dry is also a great feature if you need to put furniture back into place. I am so glad I saw this machine. My last machine was a Hoover Steamvac - I just retired it because it has never performed like this Bissell. And it is easy to fill, empty and clean. Easy assembly too. It is a little heavy, but it is worth its weight in gold.

The media could not be loaded. I couldn't find any reviews that actually demonstrated a good clean for any machines so I decided to make this worth customer's time. Arrived on time. Unboxing was fun! Instructions & assembly was so easy a toddler could do it. I love the storage bag for all the attachments (I admit i lose the attachments before I ever use them). The attachments work great. The machine isn't the lightest but I'd rather the machine weight 20-30 lbs then not work so that wasn't an important deciding factor for myself. It's so easy to use, you fill the holding tank to the water line with HOT water (not heated by a stove, kettle, microwave, but as hot as the tap gets). It takes like 20 seconds to heat up (they all do that heat, much quicker than my rug doctor ever heated). The dirt water holding tank & the clean water holding tank aren't huge but if they were, it would take much longer to heat & more power to maintain the heat so it's a smart compromise the company went with. I didn't try the quick dry option because I was doing deep cleaning but the carpet still dried really quickly (less than 8 hours & as little as within an hour depending how much soil I had to clean). I used my bunnies' play room for the demonstration because, well you can see it got gross when I was really sick for a month. The material looks & feels of good quality production. I have owned a lot of carpet cleaning machines & even commercial machines but this by far cleaned better than any machine I have ever used before. Bissell has really started to step up in the quality department.

I am embarrassed to say that with the pandemic I let the professional carpet cleaning go because I didn't want anyone in my home. Then too embarrassed to have someone come in and clean after that prolonged period. Purchased this because my old one was useless and crapped out, very old model. First pass with this , amazing cleaning power. One week later, second pass, water nearly looked like it came out of the tap. Very effective carpet cleaner. Pet safe cleaning products included to get me started. Easy to use so I didn't have to read the instructions carefully , which is a bonus for me. No stinky chemical smell. Lighter weight than my old clunker.

Easy to use. Cleaned my carpet well. You will need to be extra careful on berber carpet, though. Can pretreat by not using brush rollers. I did not use cleaning solution that came with the vacuum- only used the steam. Great results! I pretreated carpet in a few spots, but I failed to get a lot of the water out of one particular spot, so it took 2.5 days to dry in that spot. It is a bit heavy. The parts easily snapped back into place after taking it apart to clean.

Oh. My. God. This is hands down the worst purchase I’ve ever made. This machine is the most poorly designed vacuum I’ve ever come across.Assembly? A complete nightmare. I literally had to stand on it to get the clear cover to snap into place. That should’ve been my first warning. I did half my living room the first day, planning to finish the rest the next, and things seemed okay—aside from constantly having to remove the cover to clear out pet hair that somehow wasn’t getting properly sucked up. Turns out, pet hair gets stuck between the panels in the clear cover that directs water to the bin, and there’s no way to open that section to clean it out. So once hair is lodged in there, it stays there—blocking the tunnel and making water extraction way less effective.Then, everything spiraled downhill.By the next day, the machine was barely sucking up water. By the time I got to just one bedroom, it was struggling to spray and extract properly. Then I tried using the hose attachment, and that’s when the real chaos began. The front panel kept popping off, spraying water everywhere—all over my clothes. When I finally tried attaching the hose, I had to stand on the panel just to get it to click in place. It took every ounce of strength I had, which is absolutely absurd.Within two minutes of using the pet cleaning function, the vacuum clogged, forcing me to stop, take it to the shower, detach the hose, and clear it out. I had to do this four times just to clean a tiny 2x2 closet. The mental breakdown that followed? I won’t even comment.The buttons and release mechanisms on this thing are a joke. Every latch is so tiny and recessed that you can’t press it with your fingers—mind you, I wear a size 5 ½ ring. I had to use an Allen key or a flathead screwdriver just to detach any part of the machine. And when it was finally time to pack this disaster up to return it? The hose doesn’t even have a quick-release button—you need a screwdriver just to get the handle out. At that point, I genuinely wanted to chop it into pieces and shove it in the box.What should have taken one to two hours ended up taking over six hours across two days. I should have known better—I already have a normal Bissell vacuum that smells like it’s on fire when I use it. I should’ve taken the hint and stayed far, far away from this brand. But now? Now, I know for a fact that Bissell is a complete scam.You could probably find a better carpet cleaner on Temu for $15, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked better than this. Don’t waste your time. Don’t even bother. Buy literally anything else. It might not be amazing, but I guarantee it won’t be worse.

Best Thing I bought in 2024!
This thing has been phenomenal I use it every week.Couches, carpets abused by my pets and babies. Cleans everything, I always use stain remover and follow the soap level guides for the right dilution. The suction on the floor tool is better than the hand tools. The carpet does dry WAY faster than the couches and chairs.Might take 2 passes but it's so easy to clean out the canister too. I would make the bottom dirty water and the little clean water tank the same size, the capacity seems lopsided.Haven't had any leaks.Would recommend!
Amazing Machine
I have owned several different carpet cleaners and this blows them all out of the water. Went over an area that I had done 3 days before with my old machine before it randomly died, the water was black coming out of the carpet. Even on the deep clean setting it only takes a day for the carpet to dry. The machine is east to set up and even easier to use, I don't use bissel solution I use HDX Extractor from home depot and it works great as long as you follow the instructions on the bottle not the lines on the jug. The part I love is how easy it is to clean the head, not to mention how easy it is to remove the dirty water container.
