For those reviewers complaining that this doesn't contain essential oils, you have to realize at this price that's an unrealistic expectation. (I look at the prices for after shaving creams, lotions and balms and I shudder how little $10 buys any more). I find it a refreshing post shave lotion. It goes on smooth, has a pleasant fragrance that lasts for several hours. The cooling sensation lasts for 5 minutes or so and the lotion is absorbed quickly and doesn't leave a residue greasy or oily finish on the skin. I like that it is alcohol free. You can also get an initial supply at 20% off for a 1st order on their website, about $4 a tube. As for the annoying tube dispenser with the too large opening. I just emptied the lotion into another container for better control when dispensing.

This is pleasantly cooling, smells pretty good and absorbs fairly quickly. I tend to stay away from bigger "shaving" companies and edge is definitely one of them. But for the price and all above reasons I've become a repeat buyer.
