It WORKS!! A quality mouse trap, finally!Design is easy to set up. Quality of build is sturdy enough for the catch. As to functionality, we had a chipmunk we and 2 cats had been chasing all over the house for 2 days trapped within a less than 2 hours after we set it down. 3 peanuts did the job. We'd tried other less costly traps without success. As to value, worth every nickel. Would definitely recommend.

Tried those poison baits at first and they didn’t work at all. Pivoted to this and we caught the little guy two nights after loading some peanut butter onto the food tray. 100% recommend. Easy to set, durable so I bet we can use them again if needed (though hopefully not!!) Was able to catch our critter and humanely release him in a park (internet said 5 miles from your location) which was great.

This a really small trap so if your trying to catch anything bigger than a squirrel or rat it won't be big enough. It is easy to set the trap. Put out both last night and each one caught a rat so they work good just small. Would be 5 stars if they were twice a big as they are now.

The metal mesh is not exactly heavy duty, it’s not a good choice for larger critters like squirrels (says not for squirrels in the literature) or very large rats, but it IS quite effective. I caught four juveniles in my basement within the first 24 hours. Unfortunately older rats are much more cautious and it takes longer to catch them unless they are hungry.People complain about the lack of a handle but the lever on the top of the door sticks up a few inches when something has been caught and serves as a safe way to pick up the trap. Why did you pick this product vs others?:The snap traps weren’t working — either being avoided or tripping without catching anything. I thought these would be easier for them to go into, which seems to be true.The only problem is they aren’t dead when they’re caught. Luckily dry ice is available near me. I dropped them in a metal trash can, then put a container with dry ice and hot water in with them. They were peacefully asphyxiated in a few minutes.

Yep, these are really good. Have had them out for 4 nights so far and 100% catch rate. Also feel better catching and releasing the little buggers rather than snapping them in snap traps.

I tried so many things to get the mice and chipmunks out of my yard but nothing worked except for these traps! They’re amazing!In the first 48 hours I caught 5 mice and 1 chipmunk! Since then, I caught another chipmunk and probably 7-8 more mice and it’s only been a week.When using the traps, I recommend setting them out at night and expecting that you’ll need to empty it in the morning. I don’t recommend waiting until evening to empty the cage because the animals can get overheated, dehydrated, or cold if they’re in there too long. Also, if the trap door doesn’t close but the bait gets eaten, just try not to push the rod very far into the circular piece to set the trap. The rod should barely be in there. Also, as it states, these aren’t for squirrels.
