It is a must have for anyone but especially if you plan on using a tripod and want a compact unit.The quality is amazing and the camera fits in perfectly! One huge bonus is that you CAN use screen protectors when using this casee, unlike the included plastic DJI cage (the cage DJI includes with the camera interferes with the rear screen protector and wont work with one).This cage also allows perfect access to not only the charging poet but also the battery and memory card door! Unlike the DJI plastic cage you do NOT have to remove the camera from the cage to change batteries or memory cards! This makes battery swaps a painless quick thing so you can get immediately back to filming!Along with a bottom and side mount for the DJI magnetic quick release it also has a bottom and side 1/4-20 thread for direct mounting of a tripod or other 1/4-20 screw on accessories! This is a great way to mount to your tripod quickly without fiddling with adapters. This is nice if, like me, you bought one of those 50 in one kits and now have a TON of adapters, brackets, and mounts but just need to mount to a tripod for a quick video.The raised edges around the front and back help protect your screen from scratches or impacts. This means you don't have to worry about setting your camera down on its back and scratching the screen!The cage also has a cold shoe mount but currently I don't have anything to mount to that, however it's definitely something others may make constant use of!Another nice feature is how unrestricted the access to the USB C port is! I purchased a cheap (but surprisingly nice quality) lapel microphone from Bolo and because of the way they designed the cage there is plenty of room for the wireless receiver to fit (see included photos) which was a pleasant surprise! You DO of course have to remove the cover door from the camera but it easily pops off and I believe this also needs to be done with the USB microphone offerings from DJI themselves (I don't have the extra money for DJI's insanely expensive wireless "Mic 2").

Really nice cage; with surprising functionality and clever button releases for getting the camera in and out. Built well, and looks really nice too. Doesn’t add a lot of weight. And is a good value for the money.

This camera cage fit perfect for my DJI OSMO Action 4, and it's packed full of features. With a solid build, it provides access to all the buttons, both the battery compartment and the charging port, magnetic quick release mounts WITH holes for attachments, a cold shoe mount, and easy access to remove the camera if needed. Absolutely superior to the stock cage and well worth the price!

Recently purchased an dji action 4. I did not like the plastic case it came with plus I wanted more versatility while using it. This cage fits the bill. It comes with a cold shoe mount, 1/4-20 screw hole as well as the magnetic clamps still work. It allows you to access the side of the camera with out having to take off the cage. The build feels super quality, adds some weight to your camera which makes it feel premium. But that is also a down side to it. I loved how light the camera felt. But either way. This is a great buy. Still a perfect size camera. Super easy to use and install.

This SmallRig Action 5 Pro Camera Cage is a fantastic accessory for my DJI Action 5 pro camera. This case is solid and pretty with it's lightweight aluminum build, providing excellent protection while maintaining a sleek design. The cage features multiple mounting points, including 1/4"-20 threads and cold shoe mounts, making it easy to attach accessories like microphones and lights.Installing it is quick and secure, and it doesn’t obstruct access to buttons, ports, or the battery compartment. The detachable side panel is a great addition for convenient battery swaps. Overall, it’s a must-have for my DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro camera because I wanted enhanced versatility and protection without the added bulk. I highly recommend this to anybody looking for a case for their DJI Osmo Action 5 pro camera!

Case is great. Very sturdy and reliable why hanging out of our plane. Wish it was lighter but I like the double doors that easily open while still on. It isn’t easy to get the micro sd card out while in the case though

A very well designed and rugged frame. I love that I can access both of the doors on my DJI Action 3 camera without removing the camera from the frame or even taking it off the tripod. It is compatible with the DJI magnetic camera mount which makes mounting and dismounting the camera from my motorcycle a breeze. It also allows easy access to the touch screens and lens filters. If/when it eventually gets dropped I think there is a good chance it will protect the camera from serious damage. Highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded. Solid construction, easy to use and fits the dji osmo action 5 perfectly. It is compatible with the DJI magnet quick mounts in horizontal and vertical configuration. The cold shoe mount works well for a external microphone or a small light. And I really like that you can access the battery and SD card without having to remove the entire camera from the cage. I'm very happy with this product and would buy it again

Currently fitted to my action 5 pro. Fits perfectly without movement. East access to battery and micro SD via side door access. Plenty of mounting options and cold shoe slot for mic or lighting.

I absolutely love this camera cage for my DJI Action 4. It fits the camera perfectly and offers both portrait and landscape orientations with multiple mount points, making it incredibly versatile.The smart locking and hinged mechanism is a standout feature. It allows easy access to the battery and card slots without having to remove the camera from the enclosure - convenient for quick swaps during shoots.Made from quality aluminum, the cage feels robust, and the spring-actuated locks click with a reassuring snap every time. It's also easy to install on a variety of mounts, including magnetic ones, as shown in my photos.I use it for promotional shoots mounted to my vehicle, and it gives me peace of mind knowing I won’t lose the camera in the process.Highly recommended!
The price is not right but the cage is good
The price is higher than the product website itself and its around 3 thousand rupees more, please match the price accordingly, i regret buying it from Bolo as i was in a hurry and didnt look for alternatives.
