It has thick pile and a good handle.

It’s exactly what you expect, just basic white chalk and an eraser. But that’s all I needed. I bought this for my dart board and it works perfectly fine.

I got this because I purchased a piece of furniture for my guest room that had a chalkboard on it. I thought it would be a cute idea to be able to wait a welcome note to my guests. The colors are great and the eraser works well. The only thing about it is that because they are thin, they do break off easily. I find that I have to be very careful when I write with them. However, other than that, they're the good quality that we've always known with Crayola! I definitely think this set is worth the money But I do think it would be very frustrating and counterproductive for children if they continually break off into small pieces.

Not one piece of chalk was whole, not ONE. EVERY single piece of chalk was broken, some in 2 or 3 pieces and the eraser doesn’t erase. Kids chalk painted a table and were really looking forward to playing on it. They still played but were really,really disappointed. It does say colored chalk, but not one piece of white. So I’ll go buy white. At least it won’t be broken.
