We're using this in our sauna. I much prefer looking at the sand level, rather than looking at the digital clock. I think my husband thought this was a silly thing, but now I see him watching it, too, instead of the digital panel. So, we both like it. And the purple sand is sexy. I was worried that the frame might get too hot to handle in the sauna, but thankfully, it's proven to not be an issue at all. I'm very happy with this hourglass!

This hourglass is perfect for beach sand! Someone sent me some beach sand from a beach they visited and I ordered this hourglass for it. It was easy to put together and fill. Love it!
