I did not like how it was missing 2 vertebrae and that it only showed 4 of the 5 true ribs attaching to the sternum.

The media could not be loaded. This 1:1 disarticulated model skeleton is a real bargain at the current listing price of around $110 US. The accuracy is excellent, even compared to a few of the more expensive anatomy models that go for two or three times this price. It is made of quite solid and hefty plastic, and it has many nice features that make it really stand out.Being disarticulated, it allows you to really study the bones individually. I appreciate that one hand and one foot are articulated, as it makes it easy to see where the individual bones fit into place.The calvarium can be removed to reveal the skull's interior. The bottom jaw is articulated and removable, and it also has a section that can be removed to reveal the inner dentition. The teeth may be removed from the lower jaw as well, and each of the lower teeth is individually cast. The upper teeth are cast as one piece and permanently attached to the skull. Even the inner ear bones are present, carefully bagged to prevent them from getting lost.Most foramina are represented well, as are the skull sutures. The proportions are very good for a model in this price range. In fact I have not seen a better model in this price point, on Bolo or elsewhere.

For just over $100 U.S., this is a great value and will serve admirably in the teaching of anatomy at the K-12 level. Several of the bones show signs of where the injection molding was carried out and the details of the bones are note exact enough for a medical-level of training. However, as a set of props, teaching about the basics of skeletal anatomy (the skull is actually pretty nice, missing some of the foraminae and fissures, but still nice), this is a nice purchase. I particularly like the inclusion of both hands and feet in an assembled and disassembled state.

While this isn’t perfection, all in all it’s quite a good display of human skeletal components and I hope will be helpful for me brushing up for nursing school.
