Do a little research and you'll find this brand is highly recommended for flavor. It's also so very convenient, economical, and sustainable. The stuff in the boxes is made from pastes like this, apparently, and using the paste directly reduces waste and shipping and all that. I am so glad it comes in large jars: I try to keep a veg, chicken, and beef on hand at all times, in low-sodium organic. A dab adds flavor to so many things, and is so much faster than reducing the water back out of a broth.

This is the best base I have used for flavor and versatility. Love that the lower sodium versions are available. I make lots of soup, but use for other flavorings, and go through lots of it, so love the large capacity jars that are available!

I love the huge jar. The seal was in place but it was leaking a tiny little bit. Because it’s not an animal product, I just made sure the lid was tight (it was) and put it in the fridge.I doubt it would make me sick since it will be added to things that I boil anyway.
