The fine dirt can get through the weave of the canvas somewhat , but that is after crawling around in my garden. I don't care about this since it so much better than all the other cheap shoes I used to wear in the garden. The size I got fits me no problem. I am glad I got these because they seem fairly rugged . The other brand shoes that I thought about getting said the laces tore out , but these shoes have grommets and so far are very durable. So for a flexible shoe that keeps your feet cool because they breathe , these are great. I wouldn't get them if you need heels or arch support but for me i don't need that .

These shoes are so so comfortable! My feet and general health are so much better off since switching to these barefoot shoes.I had a pair in size 43 but they shrunk a bit in the wash (but hey, you can wash them!) so the second time I bought some I went up to the 44 (I'm a woman and usually wear 11 or 11.5, and sometimes a wide) and the 44s are perfect! They don't look big or boatish on me, which is saying something lolVery lightweight, breathable, good quality - easily my favourite shoe.

These shoes have been great. Fit well, very durable fairly priced. A very good option. The only item I think could be improved is the sizing. I take a size 12w and these shoes were offered in 12.5 or 11.5-12.The 12.5 was the right size for me.

I’ve bought these back in August 2023. I have been using them as gym shoes since June 2024. They are still going strong in June 2025!!! I plan on buying a new pair once these wear out.The wide toe box is awesome!!! My feet don’t hurt anymore and my back and knee pain has improved. I highly recommend them. It does take a bit to get used to wearing them but definitely worth it for me.

These run smaller than the average Whitins, I’d recommend ordering up a size. The fabric and sole are also much thinner.

I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, so I'm very particular with how my shoes compliment the biomechanics of the human foot. The only casual shoes that I wear now are Whitin. I can wear these shoes comfortably with or without socks. They look super cool, and they are very affordable. I have found that they hold up well. I bought this model, plus another model. I have had them for at least 6 months and I am very satisfied.What I love about Whitin shoes are the fact that they are built to allow the human foot to simply do what it was designed to do. This is accomplished in these shoes by having no incline in the heel (zero drop) so the posterior chain of your leg (calf and hamstrings) are not flexed and shortened, and by having a wide toe box so that your toes can spread out as far as they need to. A zero drop and a wide toe box allow for the proper motion of the 26 bones within the foot. When the foot moves properly, it absorbs shock. If the foot doesn't move properly, such as when you are wearing bad shoes (please note: 99% of shoes are made with an incline in the heel and a narrow toe box, and are therefore classified as bad in this doctors opinion), shock will not get absorbed by the foot as well and will get absorbed by your knees, hips, and spine, especially the low back. Whitin shoes are also great because they are minimalist and have a thin sole. This allows for greater proprioception between the brain and the feet (proprioception is the brains ability to sense where body parts are in space). In essence, when you buy shoes, you want them to mimic walking barefoot. Whitin allows for your feet to do this. I recommend these shoes to patients on a weekly basis.If you are a human and you have feet, find yourself some high-quality zero drop, wide toe box shoes like Whitins!

The first pair came in a new box as the first because the first box was badly damaged. The shoes looked smashed. After contacting the company through Bolo, they immediately sent me a new pair with the understanding that they won't charge me for the 2nd pair as long as I get the first ones returned to them by the deadline they gave me which was a nice deadline, instead of a very short window of time. The second pair came in a tight plastic sack on the shoes and an outer plastic mailing pkg. They looked smashed also. I showed them both to my son in law for his birthday for him to choose if either pair was acceptable for him to wear. He said these kind of minimalist shoes were supposed to be this way to conform easy with your feet so I gave him both and he was happy! He has worn these same type of shoes for several years and will probably want these same ones next year too. SO, the SHOES WERE GREAT, EVEN FOR HIS SERIOUS FEET ISSUES! PLUS the company's CUSTOMER SERVICE was immediate and EXCELLENT to work with! Since I can't find a way to go ahead and pay them now for the 2nd pair of shoes instead of waiting until I am past due in paying for them since I am keeping both pairs, I am hoping Bolo/THE WHITEN COMPANY will see this and go ahead and charge me now (& let me know they did) since we are definitely keeping both pairs!! Thank you so much for your wonderful and kind help!

Great entry point into barefoot training shoes!
Although these are called running shoes, they are ideal for HIIT bodyweight/calisthenics workouts. I’m a big user of the Freeletics workout app, and these are perfect for doing things like burpees and mountain climbers, when having a huge foam heel can be detrimental to your form.They are low key enough that they can be worn outside, unless you deliberately point out the wide toe box, nobody would notice. They provide a great “ground-feel” as well, which makes you feel more stable when walking about

I really like barefoot shoes. I have the Xero shoes and Lem's and these are on par with these two.They're very comfortable. The toe box is really wide. They look good, not like most barefoot shoes.I am surprised how good they are especially with that price. Most barefoot shoes are really expensive and can get up to $200 USD.If you want to try barefoot shoes before committing to something more expensive, give these a try.I would even say if you like more expensive barefoot shoes, then you would still enjoy wearing this pair.
