My eyes are very sensitive to cleansing oils/balms so it’s hard for me to find one I can actually use. This one does not irritate my eyes at all! It removes all of my makeup and sunscreen. Even stubborn eye makeup! I love the texture, it starts out like a balm and as you rub it in, turns into an oil like texture. Add a bit of water and it emulsifies very well and rinses away without leaving any residue. It just leaves my skin feeling soft not stripped. This is my favorite cleansing balm!

I discovered this cleanser because I am obsessed with the Skin Food line of moisturizers. This cleanser immediately became a must-have for my skincare regimen. I have dry to combination skin, 40 years old, and am very serious with my skin care. However, I do not believe that expensive and 'fancy' equates to effectiveness. Weleda's Skin Food line is the perfect example of this mentally. This cleanser gently removes your makeup and the build up from your day time activities while keeping your skin feeling hydrated. I will sometimes apply it in the morning and keep it on as a mask while drinking coffee or eating breakfast. The only cleanser / makeup remover that makes my skin feel better because I put it on. For those saying it does not remove makeup- it definitely does, I wear a ton of makeup regularly, especially on my eyes, and this is the only makeup remover I use. You just have to use enough product and be willing to actually rub it into your eyelids, which it is 100% gentle enough to do. I do sometimes follow this up with a toner or a gentle enzyme cleanser if my skin is needing a light exfoliation.

The smell is clean and bright and makes me feel happy. The product is very greedy/oily going on dry skin but feels great. It does not het all my makeup off (can see the residue on my towel after drying my face). But since I love this product, I use it in the mornings when I have a clean face. It refreshes my skin and makes it feelmoist and soft. Not a necessary product, but an enjoyable one.

This is nice, however if you have arthritis in your hands as I do know that it is extremely difficult to squeeze the product out. Also, much as I liked the smell I found it didn’t remove makeup all that well. Because of those two issues I won’t be repurchasing it. I would recommend the AOA cleansing balm instead.
