I read a review by another who stated she can’t believe her final project (excellent ) because it was so hard: I agree with this! It is for “beginners “ but quite irksome for a beginner at times. This was my first project and I can’t believe how well itturned out! If you’re a beginner, you might want to consider doing another before you do this.

I was very happy with how my project turned out! I bought this kit as my second needle felting project ever. The instructions and video were helpful and I’m pleased with the results! I chose to do a few less flowers and details to simplify it a bit.

I am new to felt painting and this made it really easy to understand the concepts and experiment with technique without spending a lot of money. I did find it difficult to blend the stranded wool--I found it really helpful to watch youtube videos for techniques. The directions are lacking, but it was so cheap I don't really care. I did find the needles to be weak compared to other, nicer needles, so be aware.

This needle felting kit was super reasonably priced and contained everything you need to start needle felting. My 10 year old did this over the summer break to give as a Xmas gift for his great grandmother next year. (We start making our gifts early, I know!) They include a link to a video showing exactly how to do it and we achieved great results!

I’ve done a few needle felting kits and I was pleasantly surprised at how soft this wool was! There was more than enough wool available to finish the project without running out too.I wish that the instructions were better. For example, the photo on the instructions appeared to use black wool but the only options in the kit were very dark green and very dark brown. Based on the photo I guessed it was supposed to be brown, and I was almost done with the section (and running really low on that color) before I realized I should have used the dark green. The text instructions are not very good, because they are clearly translated, but they could be more helpful if a color was written down, so it was clear which one to use. Fortunately, I have some other wool available that I can use to cover the section and make it look more green, and also replace the dark brown that was supposed to be put in another part of the piece.It would have also been nice if the kit came with a few more felting needles. It might just be me, but I find that they tend to break pretty easily. This is a pretty large project, and I ended up breaking all of my needles before I was finished again, I had some others sitting around from other projects that I was able to use, but if this was my first time, it would have been more of an issue.
