Plenty big enough for the chipmunk that was in my house. Would be plenty big for mice, big enough for a rat, maybe on the edge of big enough for a squirrel. Worked like a charm! Easy to set up, caught the chipmunk within 12 hours, that had been evading my other efforts for 5 days. Chipmunk unharmed, and it was easy to open the door and release it into the wild.

I got this trap to catch baby bunny that got loose in the house. I gotta tell you, I really never expected him to be that fast! We thought we could corner him, but nope.My son adjusted the sensitivity (which may or may not have been needed.) After weaving some greens through the back wires to make sure he had to step on the pedal to get his snacks, we set the trap where we had seen him several times, and within 20 minutes we were able to nab him.I was present when it went off, and out of an abundance of caution we removed him from the house immediately due to other reviews citing that the door was light and may easily be lifted by smart critters.It worked for my purpose and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Does it work you ask??Is it well made do you inquire??Just ask this little buddy of mine and I think he’ll tell you that this is an excellent example of how well it works!!!Don’t worry, he wasn’t harmed by it just relocated to a local park where he can frolic with his friends.Very well made and a simple mechanism, easy to set up. I just use a dab of peanut butter on the trigger and they can’t resist. I stood inside the house and watched this guy circle the trap and go in and eat a little then he came out circled it once more went back in and BOOM! All over but the crying 😿!Highly recommend this of smaller animals!

The media could not be loaded. I’m very happy with this trap. I bought it to catch small animals without hurting them, and it works exactly as promised. We have had to relocate some chipmunks that were destroying my home's foundation. These are easy to set and completely humane. The hardest part is placing bait without triggering the mechanism, but if you hold the trigger bar on the top with one hand while you place bait inside with the other, it won't release. Once you have caught something, you can pick it up with the released arm that serves as a handle and transport your little critter easily. I could never bear to kill one, so I'm thankful gentle traps like these exist.
