I have fair, olive skin, and this contour is great! I'm new to trying out contour, and the ELF palette I bought was way too warm and made me look I had a spray tan on my face. I bought this in the shade soft tan and applied it under my cheekbones, jawbone, temples and along my nose. It blends beautifully and looks pretty natural. It is a bit lighter than I expected, and the effect is very subtle. As I'm new to contouring, I'm not sure if I would want it to be darker. I'm considering trying a darker shade, and it this price point, I'm happy to gamble on it.I also bought the shade tawny amber and applied it as bronzer on the top of my cheekbones and along the top of my forehead. It has a nice, natural looking rosiness that I really like.I don't usually wear this much makeup because I find it looks cakey or ages me, but this looks and feels great on my skin! I think it looks really nice without looking overdone. I'm so impressed I think I'm going to look for foundation from this brand, despite my years of allegiance to Missha!For reference on my skin tone, the best match foundation and concealer I've ever found is from the brand Missha in shade 21; Physician's Formula cc cream in the shade fair to light also matches me pretty well, but can be a little too pink especially in winter.Edit: My skin doesn't like this, unfortunately. After I wash it off, my skin tone is worse and looks slightly irritated. I do have sensitive skin though.

soft tan is the perfect cool-toned shade in a sea of orange bronzers masquerading as contour, but it blends out to nothing regardless if i’m using a brush, sponge or finger! i replaced soft tan and used the shade tawny amber instead, which is more pigmented and blends nice, but isn’t the tone for me (neutral versus neutral-warm). you win some and lose some, i guess.

Love love love. Blends beautifully. The texture is great. The color is great- I have lighter skin, and most products make me look orange. This is the PERFECT shade to fix that. I’ve seen similar products look really muddy on the skin, and this doesn’t do that. It just creates that shadow effect we’re all always looking for. Highly recommend, especially for my pale girlies!
