I was hesitant to purchase this kit as I thought the items included would be of low quality. Oh boy was I wrong! I’m very pleased that I purchased it. It has everything you would need to repair upholstery, stuffed animals, items made of heavy canvas, and even leather clothing, bags, and haberdashery. Almost every size of curved needles and every type of straight needles are included. The thread in the kit is sturdy, thin enough to repair plush toys, and thick enough to sew leather and canvas. It’s definitely all purpose. Everything you’d need repairing items mentioned above is included and I thought the measuring tape in the kit was a nice touch. The zippered box is made of good quality materials and it seems as it will last.

I ordered this sewing kit to sew my dogs brand new bed he decided to chew the zipper area. Was hoping the thread would be a little more thicker than it is, but I was able to mend his bed and return it to him. The kit comes with everything one would need for a bigger more aggressive project. I would buy again. The price was good and I especially like the nice case it came in so I don’t have to find something to put everything I. Thread thickness is thicker than regular thread. Great color selection also. The size of the kit is nice making it easy to store also.

Very happy with this purchase. Case is sturdy and of good quality, thread spools are large and it's complete with everything I need! Purchase was for hand mending garments.

This sewing kit is solid for tackling tough jobs like car seat or carpet repairs. It comes loaded with thread, awls, and heavy-duty needles—pretty much everything you need for basic upholstery work. I bought it for our auto shop mainly to help with custom headliner installs, and while it works well, I do wish it came with thinner, barbed needles with handles for better precision on delicate materials. Still, for the price and what’s included, it’s a really handy addition to our tool bench.

Great, basic sewing kit. Comes with a good selection of needles and thread. The awl went through my leather boots like butter and the thread held up very well. The stand out feature however is the zipper on the case it all comes in... it is the nicest, smoothest running zipper ever, just above and beyond fantastic, totally unexpected on a budget sewing kit.

I bought this sewing kit due to a growing collection of shorts and pants missing their buttons. Sewing is way down on my list of skills, and I don't know much more than how to thread a needle and a couple of basic stitches. So I chose this kit based on a very short list of criteria. I wanted something with a basic set of tools and it had to be heavy duty, because the buttons I'm missing are the ones under the most stress. This one appeared to cover those two bases according to the pictures and description. I was amazed, when I first opened my kit, at how many items are included. I'm set to handle any garment emergency I can think of, and then some. And everything seems to be heavy duty, as advertised. There's an extensive variety of basic thread colors on generously wound spools that appear sufficient to repair tents or upholstery, much less my pants and shorts buttons. There's even a bag of curved sewing needles, like the ones I've seen used to stitch up incisions, of different lengths and heavy gauges. Seriously, you could repair saddles with this sewing kit! I am very happy with this purchase, and confident it will handle my small button repair needs with ease. I don't often post reviews, but when I do it's either because something I bought greatly surpasses my expectations, or because an item (or Seller) falls so far below my expectations I feel obligated to try and steer others away from it.

This is a great little starter kit with everything you should need to sew some leather. It was a great price and what I needed at the time for my project.

Purchased a Lexus with cracked leather seats. Not sure why, but this seems to be an issue with Lexus vehicles. You have this nice vehicle until you open the door and then-splits in the leather. Not a fan of cracked leather seats. So, after some research, I settled on this product b/c 1) the price 3) variety of thread 3) all the needles and tools that come with it. Stitched up the back seat with the curved needle, using the perforations (small vent holes) already in the seat, and the best matched thread color. The variety of items that came with the kit made it really easy. Results- although it didn't turn out to look a hundo, it did turn out a hundo % better, so I am pleased. Also, for the price and what all your get, it is really handy to just have around.
