5.0 out of 5 stars Shockingly Good Cat Litter

I know it's just cat litter, but holy cow is it nice to deal with. Light weight? Yeah. SUPER light weight. Like you almost feel you got ripped off when you first pick up the bag, but never fear. There's a ton of litter in there and this is lasting longer than anything I've ever purchased before and it's not even close. There is so little waste when you scoop that I am having to add more litter probably a third as often as I used to. Very nice, and a little surprising but there it is.Absorbency? Yeah, crazy absorbent. Wish it clumped into those cool little discs like the ad... haha... but no, it's more like big clumps with some small little worm shaped clumps. But everything is absorbed, absolutely no liquid urine of any kind anywhere. It's awesome. After scooping, you really feel like nothing is left in there.Dust free? Yep. First litter I've ever used where that was actually the truth. Pour the litter in and nothing billows up. At all. Well, ok, maybe something does but you'd need some special light to see it or something at the microscopic level. But yeah... the little layer of white dust that used to be on stuff in our laundry room is gone and has stayed gone. Booya.Ok... now to the scent. haha... Yep, it's got a bit of a flowery scent and especially when you first use it and are putting more in the box than you typically would on a refill. We keep our litter box in our laundry room which is only 9 x 5, and we keep the door closed (with a little cat door in it) to keep the dog out... so believe me if this stuff was horribly odorific, we'd know it in that confined space and guess what........ it's FINE. My wife does not like strong perfumey odors and even she said, "Yeah, it's got a bit of a scent but let's see if it dissipates some." and it did after a day or so.So all these people claiming their marriages were ruined, their house had to be razed to the ground, or they're seeing a medical doctor for nasal damage due to the "Garden Bloom" scent of this litter... well sometimes all you can do is say "bless their hearts." Every society has the "first to go in a zombie apocalypse" folks, so don't judge them too harshly; their lives are clearly already hard enough. The scent is fine. You will barely even notice it after a few days, and all the perks of this litter (it's seriously good, I'm honestly shocked at whatever this stuff is and how well it works) put this heads and tails above anything else I've ever tried.
5.0 out of 5 stars Where has this litter been all my life?!?!!
This is the ABSOLUTE BEST litter my multicat (6, spoiled, inside/outside, farm working, country living cats) house has ever had.PROs:• excellent, almost instant, clumping action• clumps congeal into hard & durable lumps that stay together (unless you have a VERY active digger/burier, in which case you end up with more smaller, hard & durable lumps, that while end up as smaller clumps they are also hard and durable)• dust is practically nonexistent• the scent, while initially strong, does fade away eventually BUT the odor containment capability does not fade, even if the scent is gone.• since the clumps of urine stay together (even if you only scoop once a week on occasion!) the full pan of litter rarely needs to be completely emptied and replaced due to a build up of urine smell from the broken clumping action and dried pee smell of clay and other more traditional litter, so there is less waste.• with less waste, and better efficiency, I go through substantially less litter.• while this litter, at first look, seems more expensive than other high quality litter, in the long run it is much LESS expensive when its durability, longevity of odor control, and the length of time between complete litter changes are taken into consideration.• it does not stick hard to the litter pan, and if the “deposit” reaches the bottom of the pan this litter does not leave a residue like clay based litter. This also helps keep the odor build up to a minimum.• it’s vacuumable without disintegrating into filter clogging dust• passes harmlessly through sneaky dogs digestive tract when they get in a “kitty crunchy” or 5 while you aren’t looking. It generally emerges from the dog in the form of a dog poo cow pie and quickly solidifies into a hard clump upon “deposit.”CONs:• only comes in the flowery scent. I would much prefer a more neutral pine, cedar, lemon, or vanilla scent if there HAS to me a scent.• since this litter is lighter weight, cats who are powerful litter diggers/flippers tend to “fling it about” a bit more than clay litters. In our house it seems to be more flinging than tracking that propels it out of its box.• with the above “con” in mind, we have opted to switch the litter box to a high sided tote rather than a traditional litter box because it seems to contain the majority of the “high spirited” digging/flinging/flipping of my more exuberant felines.Bottom line:Absolutely the best overall litter I am currently aware of on the market, hands down. After starting my big litter box with an initial purchase of 2 bags, I maintain an order of 1 bag a month for my household of 6 inside/outside cats and have not run out in the almost 2 years that I have been using this litter. 15/10 DO recommend😆
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a lightweight liter that works
I experimented when my old litter stopped working. I filled several boxes with all different kinds of litter. This one was hands down my favorite. It's been 2+ months now, and the litter still clumps just as nicely as it did on day one. The clumps are hard and it desiccates the solid waste very well. It's lightweight so it scoops easily. Since the clumps don't break apart very easily you only scoop out waste, and it's cheaper in the long run. The only downside is the unique scent. It's not horrible, but it's strong so if you or your cats are sensitive, you may not like it. My cats, who have unscented litter available, do tend to use that over this, but they still use it. However, you NEVER smell ammonia in this litter, even if the box doesn't get scooped for a couple of days. All the other clay-based litters develop an ammonia smell in the same length of time. As my other litter brands run out, I'll replace them with this. It's a little pricy to start, but it's worth it.Edit to add: This is also the only litter I've ever used that doesn't generate dust! I noticed that today while scooping in a sunbeam. I am floored and pleased. The other lightweight clay litter box created a cloud!
Simply The Best!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } EDIT: STILL GOOD BUT NOT AS GOOD AS IT WAS. I've been using this for several months now and the clumping properties are still superior but unfortunately, it seems that there has been a change in the formula which has resulted in reduced odour control. For the first few months, there was a very strong scent when the bag was first opened. I didn't find it unpleasant, but I know there were some comments that it was overpowering. Personally, I'd prefer to smell a strong garden bloom scent over the smell of ammonia. I've noticed that the scent is much, much milder which, isn't necessarily bad. However, what is bad is the litter box odour, even with daily scooping. Although the superb clumping and easy scooping, leaves the litter looking clean, the ammonia smell means more frequent dumping of litter that has lots of clumping life left in it, which is very disappointing, especially for the price. I am still using it, for now, but I do hope they either, increase scent ingredients again, or perhaps offer an additional scent booster, which won't interfere with the clumping ability. This is absolutely the BEST cat litter I've ever used. After years of struggling with regular clay litter and clumping cat litter that only half clumps, leaving a sticky mess in the bottom of the litter box, I went on a quest to find something that would be less of a struggle. I found a different Arm & Hammer litter that worked REALLY well but it tracked a lot. I did some research and found the Arm & Hammer Hardball litter which had great reviews, and one strong point was that it was low tracking, so I figured I'd try it. Am I ever glad I did! Like the other Arm & Hammer litter I tried, it forms hard balls which are super easy to scoop out. The texture is very fine, similar to the other one, and it sifts through the litter scoop really well, leaving fresh, clean litter behind, once the clumps and solid waste have been scooped out. After scooping, there are literally, no traces of waste at all. It's like a fresh littler box every time. It is 100% dust free, and lightweight so not only is there less trash to dispose of, but it is lighter too. Although there still is some tracking with this one, it is very manageable, especially if you use a littler mat. It is pricey but, given the fact that you only need to remove small clumps, most of the litter remains in the litter box much longer than with traditional litters so there is much less waste. The scent is quite strong but I don't mind it at all. I have noticed no "litter box smells" since I started using this litter, which is a huge plus. Now, my only complaint is that it is very difficult to find. There are very few places it can be purchased in Canada and unfortunately, it is sold out here on Bolo, and has been for a while. Now that I'm sold on this, I really hope it is back in stock soon!
Bang for your buck
Great litter works as they say and we have two cats both over one year and we get a full month out of one bag
Best but not at current price
This is the best litter on the market for multiple cats. But after my first purchase, Bolo decided to get greedy and raised the price by almost 3x what I originally paid.
Does what it says!!
Amazing
Have 2 house cats and have tried about 6 different cat litters ,did all my research on which are best and can honestly say this beats all the others hands down.Bought a little mat which catches cat litter as they exit the litter tray and have noticed I no longer find litter throughout the house .Odour control is brilliant and it clumps really well not like concrete that you can’t remove !Wish it was available in the uk as it can take a little longer to arrive but have got in the habit of ordering next bag when I’m halfway through and it’s free shipping.
