A fantastic APS-C semi-professional body. So far I have had a wonderful time shooting with it, especially with the amazing autofocus. It has a good-sized buffer, a great frame rate for both mechanical and electronic shutter, and produces amazing quality RAW pictures. The IBIS is excellent, battery life is way better than advertised depending on shooting style, and is quite comfortable to hold. Ease of use is great, especially with the vertical dial and joystick. It feels durable with high quality plastic, functions without any hitches, and is overall with the money. It especially writes fast to V90 UHS-II memory cards since it has dual card slots. Overall excellent!

The autofocus locks on fast, and the camera’s continuous shooting mode is smooth and incredibly responsive.Despite its professional-grade performance, it’s lightweight and compact enough to carry comfortably all day. I purchased this camera in 2023. I paired it with the RF100- 500L and RF24-105L and it is the perfect combo for taking wildlife photos and videos. I primary photograph birds, so the 1.6 crop factor was perfect for the additional reach. Most of time it can auto focus on the birds' eyes, watch keep my photos tack sharp. Rolling shutter is evident on some photos depending on the circumstances.The R7ii will be release soon, therefore, buy the newer model as it will have less rolling shutter.

The camera works great with a wonderful picture quality. Very easy to use with the settings and with some research you can set it up perfectly for all your needs. If the manual is confusing there are many videos on YouTube to help explain the set points. The size is perfect in my hands and the shutter speed is definitely sufficient for my needs.

Excellent option if you're a semi-advanced enthusiast or a small scale professional. I love that the cropped sensor gives extra reach for distance shots (I mainly shoot sports and dogs)Can struggle a bit to focus in low light but I'm able to manually show it what I want to focus on so just takes a moment to adjust if I'm shooting after sunset.

I own a GFX 100 II, with GF 55m f/1.7 and GF 20-35 f/4. So, my standards are very high.I'm very impressed with the R7. The ability to use Canon's full-frame lenses (of which I own and recommend the 85mm f/2, the 35mm f/1.8, and the 16mm f/2.8, going to try the 70-200 f/2.8 Z soon). The auto-focus. The color accuracy. The touch and feel of the buttons and dials (for which R7 is better than even Canon full-frames in my opinion). The sound of the shutter. The battery life. Not to mention the in-body panorama and focus stacking. They are truly amazing for the price.If you can afford full-frame RF lenses (or perhaps already have a bunch of them), and are choosing the R7 as a backup camera or a second system to carry, then do it.The only two things I think the R7 comes up short are high dynamic range performance and EVF resolution. Of course, it's only 32.5 megapixels and there's nothing you could do about that.

Focus issue and shutter malfunction
i bought this camera just 2 months back and facing shutter issue as well as focus issue. went to canon camera service center and they say this is out of regional warranty. please please check everything before you buy something on Bolo simply relying on warranty.

Ótima opção para fotos da natureza e videos em geral
Comprei principalmente para fotos de pássaros, em substituição ao DSLR 6D. Escolhi um modelo APS-C pelo aumento adicional de alcance para a minha lente 150-600mm, que passa a ser equivalente a uma 960mm, um belo ganho. O adaptador EF-EOS R (adquirido à parte) funcionou muito bem e não trouxe prejuízo nem ao autofoco e nem à entrada de luz.Além do ganho no alcance, é uma máquina bem mais moderna que a anterior e tem muitos recursos que ainda estou explorando. A qualidade do video é fantástica e a estabilização no sensor funciona muito bem. A velocidade de fotos por segundo também é muito boa e ajuda bem na captura de aves em vôo.A perda que mais me incomoda em relação à minha fullframe é, evidentemente, o desempenho com pouca luz e ISO alto. A imagem fica muito ruidosa e tenho que limitar o ISO a, no máximo, 3200 já aceitando um alto nível de ruído. Também sinto falta do viewfinder ótico, mas isso é um caminho sem volta, acho que terei que aceitar que as máquinas sem espelho terão viewfinder eletrônico.No geral, estou satisfeito com a compra. Ainda acho que esse tipo de equipamento é muito caro no Brasil, comparados com preços praticados no exterior.
