Review of: Sweetside Candy Co - Skittles Candy Bulk - 4 lb Skittles Bulk Candy Pack -As far as taste/freshness is concerned, the bottom line for me is that this 4lb bag of Skittles gives me exactly what I remember Skittles tasting like from years-gone-by. I think that the Skittle candy in the individual bags taste fresh, with a slight crunch given off by the outer coating, a nice ‘just-right’ chewy center, and a recognizable fruit-like taste in each candy. All-in-all, as Skittles go (and I do like Skittles) these are a nice treat.And, I did like that the expiration date on the bag showed an expiration date right around 10 months in the future.However, there are a couple of items that lead me to pause before giving this product a higher rating.The first is that these candies are not actually from the Skittles company … these candies come from the ‘Sweetside Candy Company’. Just by itself that isn’t a major issue for me, but when comparing prices against a 5lb bag of fun-size-bulk candy coming directly from the Skittles company, I found that this 4lb bag from Sweetside was higher priced.In addition, with the Sweetside version, there’s no labeling on the bag that tells you how many packets you’re getting; or any information about ingredients or nutritional labeling. By my count there were 110 fun-sized bags in the 4lb bag so that means each packet is about 0.58 ounces.Also, with the Sweetside version, the individual packets also don’t contain any labeling with ingredients or nutritional information or calories or size of packet. That, for me at least, would be more than a nice-to-have bit of information.So, as much as I like the quality of the candy, the cost/informational concerns keep this as a 4-star rating.If this review was helpful, please click the Helpful button below

What do Skittles taste like? Like solidified bits of sherbet in various wonderful flavors, with a candy shell. Delish.This bulk pack is amble enough for giveaways, lunch bags, a quick sugar burst, or Halloween. The packages are easy to open, with a small but varied mix of Skittles. (Mmmm, green.)The bag that arrived is stuffed full of them, with no indication as to how many. I didn't count. They're fresh and soft and absolutely delightful.The packs are clearly marked Not For Resale and have no nutrition or allergen information, which is also lacking on the large product bag. Luckily that information is easy enough to find online.

I haven't eaten Skittles in a few years. These were my favorite childhood candy to snack on. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't change the recipe, these taste just like how I remembered. These have a nice sour flavor (that isn't too mild nor too extreme) that turns sweet. I love the variety of fruit flavors. I'm glad these are offered in bulk, which is a great way to save money. I'm going to keep these around, especially when my blood sugar is too low, these are convenient and will bring my blood glucose levels back up to normal. These Skittles are delicious! They would be great to bring along to parties and would also make a thoughtful last minute gift that would brighten almost anyone's day. Highly recommend ordering! Bulk amount is entirely worth it!

I love Skittles! So this bag is perfect for me. The candy is fresh and full of fruity flavor--cherry, grape, lemon, lime, and orange. I like that Skittles are chewy and sweet and delicious. It's a huge bag of candy... 4 lbs for under $30. That works out to 47 cents per ounce.This bag would be great to fill a birthday pinata. Or this would be a great hand-out treat for kids on Halloween.

If you haven’t had skittles you should try them. For all others that have these are what you would expect. No complaints. Used them to make candy leis for graduation. Snacked on some as well and they were great.

If I'm going to be giving this candy away, it shouldn't cost me over $100 for 25 kids.
