I got this heated blanket because my little gal freezes all the time while I run hot. She can't sleep cold and I can't sleep hot, so this seemed like a practical solution. The gray color matched the rest of my bedding more and she definitely approved of the blanket's cozy design and functionality and big size. The blanket is medium thick and pretty durable. I stay away from heated blankets but the one I got this for enjoys making herself into a burrito within this blanket, so I'd say it's a pretty decent quality product and a good value that gets the job done.

I wish the cords attached near center of blanket, rather than in corners. If you tuck the blanket in, cords can be routed under mattress to the controller reducing the tripping risk.Nice controller with adjustable temperature/timer. Backlight times out to keep bedroom dark.Comfortable on cold nights. Warms bed up quickly.

We only put this in use for one night. Very soft and warm. Have to get use to settling- very different than blanket we have. Way too warm on high settings like our old blanket. Will starts with No. 3 tonight.Loving it so far. Time will tell.So far nothing to complain about. Works great!

Blanket is soft and luxurious feeling with thin wires. A great blanket if all you need is a bed warmer before getting into bed.But the blanket is unusable if you want to use the controller during the night. It goes totally dark after a few seconds. I tried fumbling on my nightstand, looking for it, and then, when I finally found it, there are no physical buttons to push so I needed to fumble further trying to adjust the heat level. There is not even a dim light anywhere on the controller to indicate where it is. And when you do find it and do what you want to do, the light does go on but is quite bright and thankfully it does go off after a short period. Which is fine until you might want to adjust the heat level again. Blanket has since been returned. I don't think that whoever designed this controller ever tried using it himself or herself.I should note that, if you think you have a warranty from Sealy that you can count on for any problems, guess again. Sealy just licenses its name to some no-name company in China (shame on Sealy) who is the one that issues the warranty. From the looks of other reviews here which I have now read, a warranty from an off-shore company is not an advantage.I have replaced this purchase with a Sunbeam electric blanket at similar price point that has a dimly lit controller that stays on. An added bonus is that it is internet connected and I can just ask my Alexa to turn the heat up or down (or on or off) IN ADDITION TO using the controller. Plus, the warranty is issued by a U.S. company from its FLorida HQ. (The only problem with that blanket is that there is only a single controller for a double or king size. I don't need that but having only one person in charge of changing settings for two people is a strange choice. But this does not affect me as I sleep alone on a full sized bed.)

I recently purchased the Sealy Electric Blanket Heated Throw, and I couldn't be happier with it! The 2-10 hour auto shut-off is a great safety feature, giving peace of mind while using it overnight. The flannel fabric is super soft and cozy, and the 50x60-inch size is perfect for curling up on the couch. Plus, it has an ETL certification, which assures me of its quality. The dark grey color is stylish and fits well with my decor. Highly recommend!

The lighted screen only comes on for a few seconds when you first turn the blanket on. If you want to turn the blanket off before the minimum setting of one hour on the timer, you have to do it via feel because the screen is dark. Why is the minimum timer setting one hour? Love the blanket feel and the warmth, but it looks to me like they chose to go with a cheap controller.
