5.0 out of 5 stars Best value full spectrum Grow Light available. This one is a sleeper, get em while they last.
Best value FS 500Watt GL available anywhere. No dimmer, but runs 11, 9, or 6 panels to achieve a lower output that are set manually, or controlled by the temp. function. It's easy to set up. Cool & quiet & bright; each bar has its own supply and are switched on by the controller. No UL, CSA just worthless CE mark. Failures I read about -detachable cord burning , panels dying. This would probably pass safety testing except for cord. Indoor use only. This is constructed with 1 watt LEDs running at 0.45 watt each so the diodes are not stressed, Each light bar is approximately 44 watts so it toggles between 260, 400, and 490 watts..Plants are doing extremely well. I had to raise the light from 2ft to 4ft because they were TOO bright. Why spend 0.90-1.80 per watt on a name brand (SF Mars, Vivosun, AC Infinity etc)? Get this for $0.36 per watt.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great light. Timer functions and temp are nice on the display.
I got the PT-5000. It's about 490 watts actual draw. 9 bars of LED's. The time and temp settings on the digital display are easy to see and use. It turns on when I want, and Off when I want. I haven't had it through summer yet, so I don't know about the heat temp settings. Hopefully my stuff won't get that hot.I put the wires on the wrong ends at first. and it was out of balance. I also got 2 x 4" USB fans and put them ontop of the lights, so I got some airflow through the light. It helps keep a breeze on my canopy. This was a decent value for some Samsung 281b diodes, and a 500w size. I have 4 plants under it, and another 5 around it. You need to be about 15" away from the light for good sized flowers.UPDATE: 6 months later, Light is GREAT. UV & IR light Diodes on this one. Most lights don't have the UV, and it really really helps THC/CBD production.
5.0 out of 5 stars Budget friendly…gets the job done
Provides good lighting for the price…this is my second lamp from this company. Awesome for growing power!
4.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate ppfd
Decent light. Flowers look good. Only issue I have is at 6in from tops of my flowers it hits 850 ppfd which isn't terrible and heat isn't bad but a far cry from the 1950 at 12. I've tried it on all settings and flowers look good but wish I had that extra ppfd to push my dli higherm
5.0 out of 5 stars Whew, this thing has some POWER!
This light is HIGH INTENSITY! I had to strap it to the ceiling to get the levels right! But let me tell you, the plants absolutely love it and keep growing towards it, and they are HUGE. This light is an excellent value for the money. I do wish it had a dimmer or some ability to toggle manually, and I’d buy another if I could daisy chain! It’s cool that it has the temperature guard to keep your plants from getting too hot but honestly this light gets nowhere near that, even in an enclosed space.Anyway if you’re growing on a budget and can’t afford a $600 light, this one can absolutely do the job. I’ve gotten so many people raving about my plants and asking what lights I use and I can’t even pronounce the brand name correctly for them lol
3.0 out of 5 stars Works well for a grow or a few then lose power
The light works great. When its fully powered. These lights when I purchased mine was labeled as covers a 6x6 area.Right after a purchased the light they changed the description to covers a 5x5 area. I have screen shots of it.Then, a big crazy issue with a second light not showing up as fast as the first caused me to purchase as third light because it was advertised as one day delivery and I needed that light fast as my plants outgrew the single light. It had been a week since the other light was supposed to be delivered when I purchased the third light.A bunch of craziness happened with Bolo in the process of purchasing these lights but to Bolos credit, they were incredibly accommodating. I dont know that there could possibly be a better company to purchase from and that is probably why Bolo does so well. They give the customer the benefit of every doubt. That could work to their detriment if people abused it. But they still do it. Making Bolo a highly customer oriented business.I noticed when I had one light going in a two light room that it didnt seem as bright as it did when I purchased the lights so I tested the PPFDs with the Photone app and sure enough, the light had lost half of its PPFDs after 3 grows at about 3 or 4 months each. At 24 inches above the plants at first the PPFDs were 1100 to 1200. After 3 grows the light was down to 600 in the center and 300 out toward the edges. So I tested all the lights I have with a KillAWatt draw tester and sure enough my light was only pulling 315w.So I tested 3 other lights I have. One was in the 340s and a 3rd light was at 390s.Then there was one more light I had that when I measured the PPFDs at 25 inches above the plant it measured 1200 so I am now down to one light that works perfectly still but it was only used through a half a grow because I noticed one of the other lights had a bar that went out. So I changed it out for half a grow. So, my experience with these lights is that when you purchase them they will work as advertised but they will lose power. I dont know if its a driver or the LEDs themselves. Also dont know which LEDs are losing power. It could be just a general overall lowering of power OR it could be that just certain LEDs on the spectrum go lower and that would not be good. But I truly cant tell you which of the LEDs or if not ALL of the LEDs are losing power.Schlux seems to me to be a company advertising a cheaper alternative to buying an expensive light with the same power from a reputably well known brand. Sure the light is less expensive. But if you invest in lights you expect them to stand up to warranted specs.I dont expect warranty because you cant find the company to get warranty coverage. So though they do name a warranty they do not really offer one through any website. So I dont know what I could do. Not to mention its been over a year. If I had done something the moment I noticed a strip went out then maybe through Bolo the warranty would have been effective. But I didnt and now its been over a year so I dont expect anything from Schlux or Bolo.I will just have to sell these as lower powered lights. They will still grow a plant. You just dont get coverage better than 3x3 and that 12 inches above the plant. So once they lose power you can no longer go by the recommended heights of the manufacturer. You will have to use an app or a way to measure PPFD and set the light right above the plants about 12 inches to get half the PPFD that you would have had had you raised it 32 inches above the plant. So it will grow tall plants that are narrow or short narrow plants that dont bush out over a 3x3 area. It will grow that plant fine. I wish I had known it was underpowered through my last grow because I felt like the finished plants did not produce like they did when the lights were new and I thought it was probably amendments or nutrients and maybe they flushed out but it was the light. Had I known I would have lowered the light on my plants to 12 inches instead of 24 and gotten way better yields.I am NOT saying do not buy this light. I am saying yes, its a less expensive alternative and does a phenomenal job for probably a grow to a few grows but then they will lose power and knowing that you just have to realize you will lose grow real estate and you will need to measure the PPFDs and raise or lower the light according to your plants light needs. You can also do what I plan to do. Keep using the lights but also buy a few cheap light bars from Bolo to supplement light around the edges of my tent . That will bring the wattage back up and give me more grow real estate while still not having my power over 500 watts. The 315 of the lowest powered light plus a few light bars on each of the walls of the tent should bring me right back around 480w which is where this light is supposed to be. So you wont draw more current. You can ALSO leave the light on veg for 23 hours a day instead of 18/6 and it will absolutely grow great that way. I have done it with great results. So, its not like when it loses power you cant grow anymore. The light will still do its job. You just need to be ready to supplement it after a grow or 3.Now, TO BE FAIR, I have NOT owned another brand or a big brand store light so for all I know they all lose power over time. That would not be beyond possible. In fact it is probably likely that they lose SOME power. Think about this... a PSU in a computer and in everything must be over powered because they will lose about 25% of their power over the course of a few years. So if you build a computer you need to know this so you dont under power your PC and end up needing to buy another power supply because the one you have wont power your computer efficiently anymore and you think its broken when really its not. It just did what they all do and lost some of its power and whoever gauged that PSU didnt gauge it expecting the 25% decrease in power. This is why there are ratings on PSUs of Bronze Silver Gold and Platinum, platinum being the highest even though it is worth less than gold now. lol Funny how people still see the word as higher than gold. So maybe its just normal for all lights. I am trying to be as fair as possible and let people know that you should look into this as a reality for ALL lights being possible. But I KNOW these lose power because they are the only lights I have ever owned. My friend has an 800w version of this light and he has not noticed decreased power yet. Through 2 grows. Should his light loose power I will update this review if possible. When the light is new it will run all the way through your grow on 23 hours a day for a month or so and then switch to 12/12 for flowering and you will get excellent results. The light should throw 1200 PPFD OR CLOSE to it from 24 inches off the plant IN THE CENTER of the light. Around the edges you should be pulling 600 even if you go outside of the lights physical measurements a bit. That would be a 5x5 coverage area. With the middle being double the edges. But once you use it a few grows just know that if you dont measure the PPFDs you may end up with a weaker light at the same heights of your first grow or second grow. So the only way to adjust properly is to know the power output and PPFDs of the light at the time of grow. Because one thing I am certain of... I have 4 of these lights and only ONE is still near 480w. And that one was only used for 1 month of a grow. The others have lowered to almost 100w loss and some even more than 100w loss. That is 25%. Which is STANDARD for power supplies. Which without one the light would not operate. So the question is, are they using capacitors that are 1000 hour capacitors or are they using really high end 5000 hour capacitors?I would say probably the former. Which means if you know about soldering electronics you could probably change out the capacitors and gain all the power back. I have done that very thing with computer PSUs and Monitors that had a PSU lose power after 3 years of use. I tore it apart went to Badcaps dot com and then found which capacitors I needed to change out, I changed ALL of them out instead of just the ones recommended because while I was in there I was going to make sure i had all new 5000 hour capacitors instead of the 1000 hour capacitors the company made the monitor put in it. Why do they do that? To save literal pennies on each unit. So when I replaced the capacitors to 5000 hours I didnt even expect the monitor to power on. It was my first time messing with electronics and soldering electronics. It not only powered up. But that was 2014 when I bought & fixed that monitor and my brother still uses that monitor TODAY in 2025!! So that monitor new lasted 3 years and then the caps went bad. It has been 11 years of daily use and still runs strong as it did when I fixed it. 5000 hour capacitors are worth it. How much did it cost me to change out all the capacitors? 12 dollars plus shipping which was about 2 dollars. So 14 dollars total and I fixed the monitor that the guy who sold it to me could have fixed FOR REAL before he sold it to me but he didnt want to do the work. The point is anything that has a PSU in it, if it has low hour capacitors in it its going to lose some power. The only way you will ever know that they didnt use those capacitors and know that your light wont lose power is with a guarantee.I think these companies should put a timer counting the amount of time the light is running and guarantee it for so many hours IF you dont mess with the timer. That way you will know exactly how good they believe their own product is. But the only way to know in the mean time is... YOU CANT KNOW. Sadly. So if you trust any review I guarantee you can trust this one.I can see a company doing this when they first start to maximize their ability to upgrade their products having good profits. But I can NOT see them continuing to gain a name while they are using inferior parts. When I first purchased the light its listing said it had Samsung 281s in it. But now it does not say that in any listings of Schlux lights. None of their listing mention Samsung LEDs now, that I know of. At least not the ones I have looked at.So I kinda feel misled but that was already dealt with by Bolo. At FIRST they tried to not do anything about the size of coverage being changed by a foot in each direction from 6x6 to 5x5 AFTER I purchased the light as if it was not really a big deal because the light at the time worked as advertised.... but then once I got a supervisor on the phone which was by no means difficult to get a supervisor, Bolo made everything right and was extremely accommodating. Overly so. Bolo does look out for their customers. And in the end I do not know if other lights lose power or how much they may. I would say anything with Samsung LEDs is going to be good and probably last longer. But Schlux offers a competitive light at a lower price and it works when its fully powered. Can also be supplemented when its power drops with very cheap light bars. So its not a rip off product by any means. It just loses power over multiple grows.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, get it!
For the cost this light is amazing. It’s heavy and well built. Built in auto timer with temp switching is great. When I received mine I had a faulty temp sensor but I contacted the seller and they sent a new one. I like this light so much I ordered another one.

Todo bien por ahora
Por el momento todo bien
