I'll split this review in two sections:The product: functionally, it's great for the cost. Solid build, comfortable for short term uses, I wear large glasses and it fit without major issues/scratches. I used the normal switch (no OLED) and the straps seem like they're not about to fit but it keeps the switch secured. Additionally, it got here a day early! I missed out on Labo VR but wanted to try out the features, so this really was the next best thing and possibly an improvement given the headstrap. Plus, my phone (while a tad smaller) for fairly well in the headset so I was able to watch some VR videos on YouTube.Practical Use: I only have a few games that support VR, and not many in general do.Breath of the Wild - probably the best of the bunch, the quality is definitely hit, but it's a cool way to experience the full game. You essentially act as the camera, but can still use the C stick to aim.Mario Odyssey - there are just a few predefined levels made, which is cool to see focus on it. However, they're incredibly short and limited in range, you can't explore the full level but rather stay in fixed positions where you simply turn around.Smash Bros - possibly the worst of the bunch. You can only experience local single player matches. No items. Only timed. Limited stages. And the really annoying part, the joycons must be connected to the switch at all times and nothing else can be supported. It's cool to see some of the full stages where available but it's not much.If you're a big switch fan who's been dying to try it I think it's definitely a must buy, but for the average consumer you aren't missing much.

My son wanted a VR set for Christmas, but he’s seven years old and in my opinion, that’s too young for a $500 VR set. He has a switch and I thought this could be the compromise.1st- I was given a refund because they did not arrive before Christmas as guaranteed. Then I received a message that since they arrived after the new year I was going to have another charge. That didn’t bother me so much, because I did receive the package eventually, but I was at least expecting a discount.2nd-Once they arrived he tried them and kept saying they were broken. I had purchased the Mario 3D world to go along with the headset. Growing up in the 90s, I have been known to sneak and play his Mario games…so I was like let me try this out. I lasted about 5 minutes. The headset has a divider down the middle all the way to the screen. So I’m games like this one, and most that I know of, the characters are centered on the screen. Well if the characters are centered it’s like they disappear because this headset has a divider, so it’s impossible to use unless you can manage to play without seeing your characters.I will be sending them back. He hasn’t tried to use them since that first day and I don’t blame him. I have used others before and never had this issue. This item was just very poorly designed and it does not work as intended, but hey, the Mario 3D is awesome 😉.

Wanted to try out VR without breaking the bank. Got this in hopes that it would work with Switch games with LABO support.This is not going to give you the VR experience that a device in the hundreds of dollars will do. But for something in the $30 range, this is great. And if your kids break it or don't like it, it is cheap.Despite the Switch's hardware limits, I had fun playing Breath of the Wild on this.Only complaint is it fogs up easily.

Great fun but need more compatible gameses

We got the Toad game to go with it and the limited number of levels compatible with vr literally added a new dimension.He also enjoyed the videos on YouTube like Rollercoaster and swimming through coral reefs.Excellent product. Well made, comfortable and easily adjustable.Downside is there's not a lot of compatible games yet.
