    The maul arrived on a Sunday and I put it to work that afternoon.The handle has excellent grip shape and the maul is well balanced. I haven’t split wood in several years but was quickly splitting large freshly cut oak logs. I can’t vouch for long term lifespan of the maul but so far so good.

    It was great while it was great. At 9 months the head came off and thankfully flew away from me. There's no way to reinstall it. And no I don't miss a lot and smack the handle

    This splitting axe is well balanced and has a great feel when swinging it. It chops as well as my 8 pound maul. The splitting head is a great design. Even my wife is comfortable using it. This Axe more than exceeds my expectations. Very nice
