I purchased the Prym Double Point Set Knitting Needles, Assorted 20 in January 2023 and it’s just now (August 2023] that I finally got them out. I am an advanced beginner knitter and these needles allow me greater confidence and control. I used metal double pointed needles last fall and got sores on the tips of my fingers sliding the tips of the needles down through the stitch. I put bandaids on them, I bought a leather fingertip cover, self sticking fingertip covers, and then I searched crocheted patterns (which I am very accomplished with). Then I saw these!These needles have a slight grip on the yarn while remaining smooth to the touch. This means I have a better grasp while trying to maneuver them during use (an art in itself!) without dropping stitches. The slight bulbous tip (think drumsticks) means the nudging slide doesn’t hurt my fingertips. A close up of the picture shows what I mean. Perhaps accomplished knitters would find any of these features non-beneficial, unnecessary, or cumbersome but for my limited experience I cannot recommend these enough!

This Prym Ergonomics 8" Double Point Set is great. I'd been buying double pointed needles by the individual size as I needed them for various projects, but when I decided to learn how to knit socks I decided to get this set because these are ideal for finer yarns (wool.) They provide a gentle grip to the yarn; are long enough to help avoid stitches dropping off the opposite end, and those funny-looking points are just fine for knitting. The needles in this set are also good for small circumferences like baby clothes and finishing hats started in the round knit with finer weight yarns. Price was excellent and they arrived quickly.

This product is very good for the price point. They feel very lightweight making them ergonomic. The needles have a slight grip that makes the stitches knit well. They feel a little flimsy. The tips feel good for splitting yarn, and overall they perform nicely. However, they do bend slightly out of place.

These are truly unbreakable knitting needles; and good to the touch. I was on a run of breaking the wooden needles in the smaller sizes which is what led me to Prym. They really are non-breakable, true to size and feel good to the touch.

These are the best knitting needles I've every used and I've tried just about every needle out there! I want to replace most of my needles with Prym products. They are the right amount of smooth/sticky to handle all types of yarn. Previously I had different needles of the same size depending on the yarn - one set was better with cotton, the other better with wool, and so on. The Prym needles work well with sticky and slippery yarns. The little nobby at the tip is great for getting under tight wraps and doing decreases. They also work well when fixing dropped stitches, though I usually keep a crochet hook nearby for those. I love them!!!

The tip snapped off after knitting only about 150 stitches. I have knitted for over 60 years. This was not a technique error on my part. I was using DK(3) weight yarn and the size 4 needles.&&&I have not used the smaller sized needles yet.Very disappointed.
Box was dented.
