I'm 5'5" and wear a size 12-14 (measurements 42"-35"-42") but will need to take this lovely gown in a bit at the top of the bust to make it fit properly. Length will be perfect for anyone 5"8"-5'10" or so - the rest of us will have to shorten it, wear heels, or wear a big tulle petticoat or hoop skirt. Much better quality than I expected for the price: looks exactly as pictured. Very pleased!

I bought this & another dress the same day. Other dress arrived first was so cheap, thin & unimpressive, I felt this dress would be the same as my other gowns were purchased outside of Bolo & much better quality. This dress has heft, attention to detail & quality. I do have to knock of a star for the cheap, ugly rope detail but that can be easily swapped for a satin ribbon.

I’m 5’10 and was worried about length but length was perfect. Decently heavy, so it doesn’t feel cheap. Corset strings are cord so they look cheap but other than that I really like it.

My husband and I went as Lady Galadriel and Gandalf from LOTR. This dress was the perfect fit (literally!). I am 5’1”, 145lbs, and I am in a M in these photos. I initially ordered an XL based on the comments, but it swallowed me, so I sent it back and downsized (always fun for a girl!!). The velvet is great quality and has stretch to it, so it is very giving, while the corded corsets in front and in back assist with proper fitting for multiple sizes. The chiffon sleeves and lace trim is just beautiful, and it was easy to steam out the packaging wrinkles just by hanging up and using an iron (or a steamer would work as well, if not better). I did embellish the dress with some tiny crystal hair clips along the front corset loops, down the cording and around the hood, just to add some elvish sparkle, but the dress itself certainly is beautiful enough to wear without embellishments. Constructed with great quality stitching. This dress is one of my best purchases from Bolo in recent memory and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing it if you are looking for this style of dress or costume.

I love the velvet. I’m 5’2” and weigh 135lbs size 36 bust.It fits perfectly and will be a good length with shoes.The ties are long with plastic tips.I would definitely buy again. Very fast delivery

I bought this as a replacement for a similar dress specifically because it was described as being cotton (as opposed to the stretchy velvet fabric of the first dress). It was not only not cotton, it was the exact same fabric as the first one. When I tried to return it I received an email that said they would determine whether or not I would be allowed to and then, after 2 weeks, never responded. I ended up reaching out to Bolo and they handled it for me. Wouldn’t bother trying again
Good quality
I chose 4XL (I usually wear XL) and it fits okay. Sleeves are a bit tight, and the dress looks baggy - but this is when lacing comes handy. It helps to shape it properly and the result looks great. The only thing was that it came smelling of some kind of incense, like it has been stored in the same bag; the smell was pretty strong, but I let it hang for a day and it was almost gone.
