Make sure you request the master link for your type of chain, they are not all the same. Suggest use of real purpose made tools to break the chain if needed and to remove install the master link. Master link has many miles on it now without issue.

I had seen a review that said these did not work for KMC 6-7-8 chain but I had zero issues with these master links on the KMC 6-7-8 chain on my various ebikes.

Would not fit any of my 7/8 speed chains. Tried on 10 different bikes.. posts measure about 6.8mm, and need 7.2mm.
