    5.0 out of 5 stars It’s working!

    T. · October 6, 2025

My standard poodle loves this on her food. She never once turned her nose up to it. I’ve noticed her coat/skin is more moisturized and her scratching/itching is a lot better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked great for my dog

    E.L. · October 2, 2025

My dog loves this stuff. He is a rottie and in the year and a half we've had him, learned his skin is sensitive to just about everything. He also has semi long fur. Adding this to his diet has helped way more than anticipated! He gets 2 big pumps at breakfast and 2 pumps at dinner. He hasn't been as itch or anything in a long while now! (Hes been taking this for quite a few months at this point). Very good product, happy with results.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product

My dog been on it for a couple of months , her coat is very shiny and I believe it did help her with itchy spots. I don’t see anymore hot spots. There’s no odor! The pump is why I didn’t give it five stars. It’s tricky to get it to work.If you use a pair of pliers to hold it while you turn the top to open it works better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product! You can fix the pump.

    L. · October 20, 2024

Our dog’s skin was in poor condition. We started adding this to her food and her coat is now healthy and shiny. I’m now a repeat customer and recommend this to anyone that has a dog with coat issues. As for all the comments with the pump not working:I almost didn’t order this because of those reviews, but I decided that I needed to try it to help my dog. After I received the item, I was sad that the reviews were right about the pump not working. I started looking at the pump to see how it works - I was bound and determined to make this work. I took the pump off to see what was happening/not happening. Then, I realized that the underside was rotating when I rotated the pump to release it - so I knew that wouldn’t work - it needed resistance. I got some pliers and used them to hold the under-side of the pump (under the cap part), then, I was able to twist the top of the pump to release it and allow it to actually work. Could they/should they get a better pump for their product? Yes! But, you can make the current pump work - you just have to put in a little effort; which honestly, I’d rather do that than pay more money for a better pump 😅

5.0 out of 5 stars From "Wire-Hair" to "Silky Soft Hair"

    D.B. · June 19, 2025

I have had one to three dogs at all times of my life. When my four and a half pound little Yorkie passed I grieved and became depressed. She was such a sweet, playful, mischievous but most of all, a loving little dog. When she passed that became the first time of not having a dog. Months went by. Finally a friend of mine, who devoted time working with a Yorkie Foster Care called me. She said a Vietnam Vet had passed away and the thing he loved the most in the world, a Yorkie mixed dog, was left and now did not have a home. I did not have to think about it. She went to get the precious pet and brought her to me. She had been this mans whole world as his wife had passed and he did not have children. I tried to figure out what other breed she may be along with the Yorkie. I thought it may be a Wire-Hair Terrier. I purchased the Omega supplement to try to soften her hair. She loved this on her dog food. After a couple of months her hair began to get thick, shinny, more of a "whitish blonde" color and her hair was very soft... not like a stiff Wire-Hair Terrier. She gets a drop or two on her food at dinner each day. I can't believe just how soft her hair is. It has changed her looks all the way around. Now we say she is part Blonde Cairn Terrier and Yorkie because she no longer has the stiff, wire hair. It is now very soft and I know this Omega supplement was a big part of why her hair changed. I am glad she is in our family because she is a precious pet to us. If your dog is having problems with his/her hair, ask your vet about giving this to your pet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Noticeable Coat Improvement, But Unexpected Side Effect

    M.S. · April 23, 2025

I used this fish oil on my 7 year old Lab and saw a very noticeable improvement in her coat. It looked shinier, healthier, and overall much better within just a week. That part was impressive and exactly what I was hoping for. However, after a few weeks of use, she suddenly started urinating in the house, which was completely out of character for her. She’s always been well-trained, and nothing else in her routine had changed. I looked it up and saw that fish oil typically doesn’t affect the bladder or urinary tract, but as soon as I stopped giving it to her, the urinating stopped. So while I can’t say for sure it was the fish oil, the timing was too close to ignore. Overall, I’d say the product works really well for coat health, but just keep an eye out for any unusual side effects if your dog is sensitive.

5.0 out of 5 stars easy to squirt on top of my pets' food

    A.C. · September 28, 2025

I love this product. Years ago, the vet told me to give fish oil pills to my dog for dry, itchy skin. I would put it in her food, and she would ever so precisely eat around it. I started puncturing the pill and squeezing the oil out onto her food, but that turned into an oily mess all over me. This bottle was the answer to my dilemma. It comes securely packaged, so it does not leak out during shipping. It lasts a long time, and I'm giving it to two dogs. And it is quick. My dogs love the taste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff!

    T. · August 30, 2025

This works on the first dose for my girl. Her coat is so shiny and soft. 4 yr 70lb staffy mix with all kinds of allergies including salmon eats this up with her kibbles. She was having limping in her hind legs and now, after a week, she's bouncing around again. Her breath is slightly fishy, but rather have that and know she's getting much need supplements. The pump works perfectly and easy to pop open with the instructions they give you. It does include an extra pour top. Definitely keeping her on this.

An Absolute MUST in Our Household!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND + x2 Updates

    M. · January 3, 2023

We have extremely picky dogs so finding the supplements they need and they'll consume is near impossible. ESPECIALLY anything with fish!!I've tried feeding sardines, herring etc and forget it. Same for fresh liver from the grocery store. Our dogs are crazy about this oil!! My mouth literally hit my kitchen floor the first time I offered it.We always place it to the side of their kibble rather than directly on it, because they love to lick it up first and then eat. Of course every dog will be different so that's just how we choose to use it.Super easy to use and dispense the proper amount for the size of your dog(s).It's rather funny when I forget to add it, as both dogs give me their best stink eye lol..We have a 3yr old, and 12yr old Chihuahuas. Both have hip, back, and or knee issues, and the oldest has quite bad arthritis in her hind end as well as a slight heart murmur. Both are rescues, but our eldest dog is a puppymill breeder rescue. Though she is registered, and was an insanely ($15k+) expensive dog, her health rarely came first, or even last. Her only purpose was to be kenneled 24/7 365 pumping out as many puppies as possible, until she couldn't do it anymore after 11yrs straight. She was given hormone shots forcing her body to always be in estrus, so has spent her entire life being pregnant while taking care of her newest litter of pups. Needless to say she was in very poor condition when we got her late last year. She'd also spent her entire life with the absolute minimum of human interaction, and so was basically feral and EXTREMELY as in Kujo spicy/aggressive, to all people and other dogs. I would be too if the only time I received human touch was painful, and having my pups ripped away from me quicker that normal, so I could start getting ready to have my next litter..(PLEASE always do some deep research into Breeders, if you are considering purchasing a puppy.🙏🏽 And of course, ALWAYS rescue/adopt when possible). They each receive 1/2 pump daily.I always use the pump instead of the cap,as it keeps the oil from leaking, and seals the bottle nice and tight. I've received the occasional faulty pump over the years, so I always keep, clean/sterilize, a few of my older pumps just incase. There's been times I've forgotten to put it back in the fridge which isn't a big deal. It can easily withstand being out for a few day's.No fishy smell or odor!It also tastes almost like nothing. And YES!!! I always have to take one for the team, trying or eating something, so our dogs trust that we aren't sneaking something into their food.😅 For the most part, if my dogs don't see me eating or drinking what I give them, they straight up refuse. So aside from me originally having to actually eat a small spoonful of NOW Fresh brand dog kibble, and ALL kibble brands we've tried in the past, I've eaten worse dog related things believe me, and I draw the line at liver!🤦🏽‍♀️😅 (THANKFULLY for me, they can't resist the Supercan liver. More to come about that).I believe the low odor and taste is why this particular oil is such a winner for dogs that are super reluctant towards anything fish tasting or flavored. As with many other pet parents, we've tried many other Omega fish oil brands, and they were a no go. Cannot beat the ingredients ie types of fish, used by Plano Paws as well.Their coats have become beautifully soft, now only stress shed which isn't often, no itching at all, allergy reduction, less upset tummy episodes, holy ENERGY and then some, their toenails grow like weeds.. (So definitely be prepared to do nail trims atleast twice as often! A sure sign of good health). But MORE importantly, our 12yr old gal now acts like she's 2-3 and brimming with energy since putting her on this, and liver slices. She quite literally now moves 2× faster than our 3yr old. So fast my eyes can hardly keep track. If I had to chase her for some reason, forget it! Her coat has filled out and grown in unbelievably soft. Her personality has absolutely bloomed. She was on a few prescription medications to help with her arthritis pain. After a good 4-5 months of being on this product and liver strips, we dropped both medications with our vets approval, as she is doing excellent without them. We technically didn't need to wait that long, as in our case, there were noticeable differences for both doggo's by week 3 from combining both products, but I wanted to feel extra sure that our senior gal would be relatively as pain free as possible. From a medical standpoint, both dogs routinely end up with perfect full blood panel results annually. Usually there'll always be a few things a tad too high or low, when running a full blood panel for any dog. And it's completely normal. But to have every category across the board be perfect, isn't overly typical. In my educated opinion, both dogs results continuing to be perfect, is in large part due to using this and liver strips. We've been using this product since the late fall time of 2019 after bringing home our youngest rescue dog, and a bottle lasts a very long time.Around 2-3 months in our case for two 5-7lb dogs. After opening a bottle, it's shelf life is around the 3 month mark.If you have larger dogs, this product does come in a larger 16-32 Oz bottles. Just a heads-up that Plano Paws does sell this in a larger size. Recommend buying this smaller size bottle first, if you have large doggo's just to make sure that your dog will consume it. Although I've yet to hear of any dog thats refused this brand. The quality has remained consistent, and the price hasn't fluctuated hardly at all. Excellent value for money in so many ways! I'll go so far as to label this particular brand along with combining the liver strips, as being truly priceless..I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this to my fellow pet parents!!Also HIGHLY recommend giving your dogs Supercan Pork Liver that I also buy from Bolo monthly. It's well worth the price! Please check it out, and seriously consider buying. Both products are now apart of the Subcribe and Save program thereby saving a little bit of money. From a medical standpoint, the usage of both products together, give your dog EVERYTHING they could possibly ever need for preventive care, and for anything current.Nevermind trying to supplement with the huge variety of powder or treat style products. It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to give dogs the proper amount they need, and that'll actually WORK, in treat or powder form.☆☆With exception of Dr Jones Ultimate Canine or Feline Formula. Which is in powder format. If you can afford any of his products including Cbd (USA only re the cbd oil for now🙁), for pets on a regular basis, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!(His products DO NOT compete with Plano Paws. I am referring to the great many other supplements available for purchase). This oil and the Supercan pork liver are THE perfect, BEST of the best combo! Together they simply cannot be beat! Especially for us pet parents on a budget. (Otherwise Dr Jones Ultimate Canine Formula is the absolute best money can buy! If we could continue to afford it, we'd DEFINITELY keep our dogs on that, plus THIS Plano Paws Omega Oil, & the liver strips. For anyone curious as to if his products work & are worth the $, they do and they are)!☆☆ I have NO affiliation or personal knowledge of Dr Jones. As I enjoy watching his YT channel, I was curious about adding Quercetin, and the Canine formula to my arsenal. So I bought and tried them. LOVED them and the results!!☆☆ Nor am I in any way affiliated with Plano Paws or Supercan.Figured it's well past time to recommend, as well as a product(s) I feel 100% confident in recommending. With products like these, it's of utmost importance to me to wait until I see results or not, any potential negative side effects, as well as how things play out medically such as vet exams, doing full blood panels etc over the long-term. I'm ALWAYS doing my own exams on a weekly basis, but it's also important to have a full blood panel run every few years, to get a look at how everything is truly running on the inside. When possible, I've also gifted bottles of this to friends and family that either have gotten a dog, or their dog(s) are getting up there in age and are starting to have age related health problems. I always also gift a 1Lb bag/jar of the Supercan Pork Liver Slices with this oil. Every single person and family have been blown away with the results of using both. For Senior doggo's, if I still held my DVM license/not retired, I'd most definitely be recommending how important using Plano Paws Omega Oil and the liver strips are, to my patients.UPDATE 06/16/2023I recently found out that a very dear, long distance friend of mines 11yr old dog was at the point that she couldn't go for her 3x daily walks anymore, due to overall body arthritis pain. My friend was extremely distressed. So I surprised them with a bottle of this and a 1lb jar of liver slices.Of course I received a thank you when they'd received both products. 3 weeks later I received another email as well as a thank you card, seriously thanking me for saving their dog, as well as saving the their mind from the non stop worrying and guilt feeling. They nearly couldn't believe the results for their dog. I'm talking literal tears of relief and joy. ( I didn't "save" their dog at all. That honor belongs to Plano Paws and Supercan. I'm just thrilled and thankful, that I was able to help, by sending both products to help them to get started, and beyond happy for them but mostly their dog. *blush..) Their dog was back on all fours, deserted the dog bed that she'd very uncharacteristically been laying in for quite a few months, and was raring to get back out walking again. In a very short time period. She also became alert, as well as acting like her usual self again.🥲 I was told that the liver strips kicked in the quickest. Which makes sense. My friend is on a very, very tight budget, but like for many of us, their dog is their life. As well as being their EMS dog. Both products are now absolute non negotiables for their dog, though it meant cutting out their Netflix and a few other subscriptions so they can continue to to keep their dog on both products. Plus because the liver strips work excellent as dog chews or treats, its helped to save them some money in the long run. This is just one experience of many aside from my own, and I think it's important to include.Update 08/21/2023I recently found out that even our vet, as well as others at our clinic now use this oil and the liver strips religiously for their personal doggo's, after seeing the results achieved with mine. When patients bring in a new puppy, or a regular patient has a dog having issues from the minor to the serious, the vets at our clinic all recommend putting the dogs on both products along with other treatments depending upon the issue. Alot of times they recommend trying these first before advancing to pain meds, allergy meds and so on. After finding this out, I had to comeback and mention it.I'll never forget our vet being legitimately shocked with the changes for both of our rescues. Especially our old gal. My vet originally gave her a prognosis of one more year of life due to her many complex health issues, the extreme life long neglect, along with the hormone injections combined with her age. And I agreed..Our eldest dog soon to be 13, just passed her second vet check since we've had her, with flying colors!!🥳 Her heart murmur hasn't gotten any worse, and her severe arthritis is still well under control from using this and the liver slices. Not to mention a long list of other health problems. I neglected to originally add that when we got her, her eyesight wasn't good from both eyes being very clouded over. Well, I'm super happy to have my vet confirm that her eye condition hasn't advanced at all, and if anything, our vet says they've actually gotten just a wee bit better. Her eyesight won't ever return to normal of course, but I'll take that tiny bit of improvement as a win!!That's the beauty, and UTMOST importance of combining these two products. They powerfully work together helping with heart, lungs, joints, eyes, brain, nervous system, dental/oral health, allergies and sensitivities, coat and skin, for healing purposes and so much more. You name the problem, together both greatly help. And for puppies, they set them up when they need it the most, for growing up to have an excellent health baseline. Again, if you can afford to add Dr Jones Ultimate Canine Formula to your arsenal, please do! (Only available on his website. Not sure if I'm allowed to leave links. So a quick google search will take you right there).Although I've also written a review w photos for the Supercan Pork Liver Slices, I just want to mention a few very important things I've noticed.Due to the size, shape, texture etc of the slices, they work fantastic as a dog chew/treat, and are so much better than most of the calorie packed chews and treats I used to purchase in the past, as well as the amount of $ I was spending. I was giving the dogs junk and it showed.I also noticed quite some time ago that both of our dogs were getting up in the night to search for any leftover liver crumbs in their dog beds. So I started leaving extra pieces in each of their beds for snacking on. And snack they do! As a retired countryside/rural vet, private wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center owner myself, I strongly believe that the reason behind both getting out of our bed in the night to look for liver leftovers, is because it's their way of keeping their blood sugar level. If you also have small dogs, then you know the importance of blood sugar levels. So having pieces of liver for snacking on readily available, has also become a very important part of our dogs lives. If you have time, please read that review as there are some things I included there, that I didn't go into here about general dog health etc..A MASSIVE, deep heartfelt thank you to Plano Paws!!🙏🏽❤️🐕I'm teary-eyed writing this update, from being so very grateful that I found this Plano Paws brand of Omega Oil, and the Supercan Pork Liver Slices a few years ago. Our ole gal has become one of those rare, once in a lifetime soul dogs with me. I knew when I went in to rescue/confiscate her from her original owners, that we likely wouldn't have many years together. She was literally just eyeballs, skeleton, and semi hairless. And yet THE most aggressive dog of any breed that I've ever encountered, in my 30+ years of experience. Had it not of been the people I worked with that day, and myself being the one ultimately sent in, to confiscate her and her breeding partner, she'd have been euthanized right on the spot 100%, by all other organizations. Euthanasia was even discussed among myself and my wonderful colleagues. So I said that I'd take her and give her a chance, and if I couldn't rehab her, then, we'd give her the last act of kindness. Turned out giving her the last act of kindness ✨️ was to give her that chance to live..(My previous dog made it to 18yrs old in 2019, and I let her go shortly thereafter. If only id known about these products then, as we also lost our 7yr old dog to cancer in early 2019. Way too young for her breed. No, neither product would have saved our dog w cancer, or prolonged the life of our 18yr old for much longer,,but these products sure would have helped both in a great many ways). If I currently had a pup with Cancer, they'd DEFINITELY be getting this oil and liver strips combo, along with Dr Jones Canine Formula. In my educated opinion and 30+yrs hands on experience, because of how powerful combing both liver and fish oil are, the sooner/younger the dog is, the more proactive they work, and have the possibility of keeping dogs Cancer free for as long as possible, the possibility of a full remission depending on the type of cancer, especially for cancer prone breeds. For non prone breeds, the wonderful high probability of keeping dogs cancer free for their lifetime.A bold statement but I stand by it..Unfortunately our dogs cannot live forever as much as we all wish that they could, nor is there a magic pill. With time, and regular use of this brand of Omega Oil and the Supercan pork liver, even if you don't see outwardly noticeable differences in your dog, you can be assured that they are working hard on the inside of your dog. And that, is worth their weight in gold so to speak. It's hard to say how long our eldest girl will live, but she's absolutely thriving, and I've NEVER been so happy that she is!! I know with absolute certainty it'd be a completely different scenario without having both products on deck for her🥹. I'd even go so far as to say to a high degree of educated certainty, that she'd be living on borrowed time, or already have passed away without both products. She is still extremely aggressive, but only around other veterinarians (ptsd), and Vet Clinics/hospitals. That said, she'll almost tolerate our amazing vet now!! (I just wish masks 😷 for regular exams etc, weren't a thing, because they very much trigger her ptsd. So we're still working on that too. Just as I had to do with simply being able to touch her, etcetera. The only reason I take her to see our vet, is for occasional blood pulls, and it never hurts to get a second opinion. Plus for desensitization purposes to help her in case of emergency someday). Her nickname is Huggie, because of how much she absolutely craves and loves hugs. She now LOVES to be touched by people including strangers including children, is playful now with humans and other dogs or animals, will let me touch, and work on any painful area's she has, on the occasional bad day, instead of going straight into full on, rip your face off Kujo mode simply attempting to touch her. I almost re named her Kujo, she was that hardcore vicious. And believe me, I've lost more than my fair share of blood, and serious bites during her slow, gentle as possible, rehabbing process. Regardless, she deserved a beautiful new name. Her brain is constantly now able to work properly, making up for lost time. And oh what a joy it is to watch her continue to become the healthiest, happiest version she can be, for her age, complex health problems, and be the dog she always deserved to be!I always read, rely upon and appreciate the time people take to write reviews. Thank you fellow reviewers! Especially my fellow pet parents.🩵I know this is a very long, terribly written book of a read😅 full of grammar errors, spelling, etc. (Dr's including us retired ones, human or animal, usually don't win writing awards. Unless it's a book with an editor attached at the hip😆). I find it near impossible to refrain from adding related and or important information, from my very, very long life working with animals. Always with the goal of passing information freely, that should hopefully make a difference/help. :)When it comes to anything pet related good or bad, I'll scream from the rooftops if need be.There are SO many things we can do for our dog's health that are simple, easy, budget friendly and most IMPORTANTLY, that work.So I thank you if you've made it to the end of this review.🙏🏽 I CAN NOT yell loud enough how important using this brand, and this brand ONLY, of Omega fish oil is!!I sincerely hope this novel of mine, helps you and your doggo's!🩵🐕 🐾 :)

    Dog Oil

    M.A. · September 19, 2025

The media could not be loaded. This is already the second bottle my dog is using, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. His coat is shinier, softer, and healthier, and he sheds much less. He also loves the taste. I just pump it over his food and he finishes everything right away.I really appreciate that it’s wild-caught and that the pump makes dosing super easy. One bottle lasts a long time, and the quality feels much better compared to other fish oils I’ve tried.Overall, it’s an excellent product for skin, coat, and overall health. I can definitely see the difference, which is why I’m already on our second bottle. Highly recommend!

A Must-Have for My Pup’s Skin & Coat! Love the 3 Cap Options

    M. · September 29, 2025

I’m so glad I found this Omega 3 Fish Oil for my dog! I’ve tried salmon oil in the past, but this one is definitely better. Within a couple of weeks, I noticed less shedding, smoother skin, and a much shinier coat. My dog also seems more comfortable and less itchy, which makes me so happy. One of my favorite features is the packaging. It actually comes with three different bottle cap options (pump, squeeze, and pour). That’s such a thoughtful touch because it makes it easy to measure out the oil in a way that works best for you and your pup’s meals.I’ve been adding it daily to my dog’s food, and he licks the bowl clean every time. No fishy smell around the house either, which is a huge plus.Overall, this supplement is high-quality, effective, and so convenient. Highly recommend for any dog parent looking to help with shedding, allergies, or just giving their pup a healthy skin & coat boost!

    Fish Oil for Dogs

    C. · October 3, 2024

I recently started giving my dog fish oil as a supplement, and I’m thrilled with the results! This product has become an essential part of his daily routine, and I can already see the positive impact it’s had on his health.Improved Coat Condition: One of the first things I noticed was the difference in my dog’s coat. It became noticeably shinier and softer within just a couple of weeks. The fish oil seems to provide that extra moisture and nourishment that helps keep his fur looking its best.Joint Health: My dog is getting a bit older, and I was concerned about his joint health. After incorporating fish oil into his diet, I’ve noticed he’s more active and seems to have less stiffness, especially after our walks. It’s comforting to know I’m supporting his joints with a natural supplement.Digestive Benefits: I also appreciate that fish oil can help with digestive health. My dog has had some occasional tummy issues, and since starting the supplement, he seems to have a more stable stomach.Easy to Administer: The fish oil I chose comes in easy-to-administer liquid form. I simply mix it in with his food, and he doesn’t even notice it’s there. The dosage is straightforward, making it simple to incorporate into his daily meals.

    V.L. · March 24, 2025
