My older Black and Decker sander has 4 alignment pins that went into the original pad. These new pads don't have those holes. I did not want to remove the alignment pins so drilled holes in the new pads. So I used the original pad as a template to drill those holes in the new pads. After that the new pads work well.

This is a great option to replace the pad on a black and decker. Like what many people have said, you will need to drill out the holes for the mounting tabs.

I got this product based on high review, but it did not work out for me. The first pad came off after 20mins of use and the second pad lasted a bit longer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Possible to fit on Kobalt 24v sander
I was able to easily fit these pads on my Kobalt 24v sander. Here is the process:1. The only difference is the diameter of a center round recess. On this product it is 1”, needed 1-1/8”.2. To perfectly center the pad in a drill press, I installed 1” forstner bit, lowered it so it enters the recess on the pad. No intent to drill with 1” bit, just center the pad.3. While bit was pressing the pad to the table, I clamped the pad to the table and raised the bit.4. Replaced the bit with 1-1/8” and carefully widened the recess, keeping it the same depth.5. Fit the metal part from the sander into the recess and attached the pad to a sander with 4 screws.Good to go!

didn't hold up , holding screws went through the plastic backing plate and slung it off.

Fits Jellas orbital sander perfectly
Good item. As per the headline the 'black' variation fits my Jellas orbital sander without any modification. Plus you get two of them for a fair price. Really don't have any complaints.
Doesn’t fit Makita
These are 4 holes Makita have 3 at least mine does but I was able to modify them. Otherwise the quality seems good.
