Works just as intended. I used it with electric screwdriver. Was able to make a hat in 20 min, start to finish. I make hats for charity so this really helps me up my number quickly.

I’m not sure about ergonomics as this is an electric screw driver or drill attachment to use those on the Addi. It fits perfectly on my electric screwdriver and Addi handle. It is very easy to use. I’m not sure it is a good idea to use a screwdriver or drill on an Addi because you can damage your machine. Although this attachment fits well and works well. Very inexpensive. I got 4 for less than $10. I have only needed one. I would recommend these attachments. They work well.

Using an adapter with a battery powered screwdriver or drill really takes the pain out of cranking row after row of stitches! You'll find that your stitches look better as they will be much more uniform in size when you can concentrate more on feeding the yarn in with steady tension. I try to keep the speed about the same every time, so that the machine is not strained. I've not had one stitch drop while using the power driver attachment. No tucked stitches, either! Note that you don't need to remove anything from your machine, it slips right over the crank and the handle is accommodated easily. My order came with two black adapters and one metal drill bit, as shown in the description. My husband bought me a special 18v drill so I can share his assortment of rechargeable batteries that are always charged and ready to use. The drill he bought for me has a 90* angle to make it easier to position the drill on my work table. You can use any model drill or screwdriver but this is the one I'm using: Ryobi PSBRA02

This is a perfect fit for the Addi large knitting machine. Just attach to a drill and connect to the hand winder base and tune the drill on low.
