I purchased this player to replace a Samsung that we have had for some years. Unfortunately, the only Samsungs available are reconditioned models. There are models here on Bolo that are no name brand units. They are so high now in price. I paid less than half for my Samsung as I did this one. I do not use this player for more than just playing DVDs and Blu rays. We have a large collection of movies and do not stream anything. So I cannot add to that subject. The unit plays everthing just fine, but it takes a long time to read a disc, even when it is already in, but stopped overnight. When a disc is removed, it will always start from the beginning, that's annoying. The funny thing, is, that my Samsung tv remote will operate the basic functions of play, stop, pause, and forward or backward on this unit. It's OK but I miss our Samsung.
