I’ve had this kettle for less than two years. When I wiped it off recently the black finished wiped away. I think a tea kettle should last longer than almost 2 years. Bought this in Aug 2023 and finish came off May of 2025. Also, the handle gets hot if heating a large amount of water.

The beauty of this steam pot, it really is great, there are a couple of things I wished the designers would have done differently is 1. Make the lid not so hard to open each time you want to put water in the pot, 2nd the leave of water to make it whistle is only one cup. 3. The hand where you open the spicket, it is also hard to open without getting burned. Remember not to put any more water in the pot other than one cup to make it whistle was a little disappointing. But overall, it was a great Christmas gift to me. I love the fact that I can have it on my gas stove as a decoration, and it compliments my decor for my kitchen.

Beautiful STAINLESS Steel teakettleEXCEPT FOR THE LID,WHICH RUSTS!!!!😖A REAL shame on the manufacturer!!🤨The metal used 4 the lid IS NOT THE HIGH QUALITY OF STAINLESS STEEL THE KETTLE ITSELF POCESSES! 🫤The lid appears to a 'mixed metal' of some sort. 😖It would behoove the manufacturer to correct this AND SEND REPLACEMENT LIDS TO THOSE WHO PURCHASED!!!👋🏾smhTerrie AndrewsIf I had known this, I would not have recommended this product! A good friend requested the link, I sent it and she too purchased from Bolo.

Truly not disappointed, it presents really well, it boils rather quickly (induction). Pours so well, it’s hard to stop in time ,lol.Very happy with our choice.
