These activities are mainly right brain procedures, which is often lacking due to the emphasis on language. It is easy to understand and practice. If you put a piece of clear plastic over the page and use a china marker it can be used many times until the person is able to do the activity. Cut out the pages to work flat on a tabletop for better hand support. I also recommend this for people recovering from concussion and TBI. Contrast is good, images are large and easy to see, and it helps to find areas of confusion. Although designed for adults, this is also an excellent home activity book for children with developmental issues.

This activity book has motor function activities like cutting out shapes and tracing lines. Paper is a little thin, so I don't recommend using pen for the cognitive puzzles. My husband had a stroke, and his initial recovery was much better than expected. He personally found this activity book to be too easy and opted for a more difficult book. Still a good activity book, just wasn't what we needed.

I got this for my dad after his stroke hoping it would stimulate his brain. It didn’t. There are a lot of seemingly good activities in there to do post stroke. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because it was too advanced for dad at the time we introduced the activity book, then he got very ill with the flu and our window to use it was gone. It took him a long time to recover from the flu and things radically changed.

My sister recently had a stroke, so I bought this book to help with her recovery. It has been a big hit. Highly recommend. Fun and challenging too. I cut a plastic page protector so we can slip that over the pages and use a dry erase marker so we can do the activities over and over again without actually writing in the book. Game changer!

My Mom began experiencing memory and cognitive issues, the Speech Therapist recommended this book, Incredible!! At first, she said, "Theres NO way I can do that!" and already in the first week, she had been able to do the exercises in the book that she thought were impossible. I can't describe how much it means to her, to our whole family, to see her get back her hand eye coordination with the tracing is really given us hope and gratitude!!!

I don't usually write reviews, but this activity book definitely helps me with my cognitive disabilities after my brain surgery. I have struggled finding activities to exercise and keep my brain active. The puzzles are a combination of easy and slightly difficult with someone that has a medium level of cognitive disability. Would definitely buy again.

Ich vermute, dass das Buch eher für ältere Menschen gedacht ist, die größere Abbildungen benötigen.Die meisten Aufgaben sind sehr einfach, könnten aber für Personen in der frühen Phase der Rehabilitation nach einem Schlaganfall oder einer Schädel-Hirn-Verletzung sowie für ältere Menschen mit Demenz geeignet sein.Ich würde dieses Buch als Teil eines umfassenden Gehirntrainings empfehlen – also in Kombination mit anderen Büchern, Apps oder Programmen...........................Considering the thickness of the book, I expected to see a larger number of exercises. I assume that the book is designed for elderly people who need larger illustrations.Most of the tasks are quite simple, but they might be suitable for individuals in the early stages of rehabilitation after a stroke or traumatic brain injury, as well as for elderly people with dementia.I would recommend this book as part of a comprehensive brain training program, used together with other books, apps, or programs.

What a great tool this is. My mother had a stroke and these books were recommended to me to help her with motor function, hand eye coordination etc. To look at it it’s kind of like a cross between a child’s colouring book and a primary school book to help with shapes. Mum enjoyed using it and along with her occupational therapist, at first, then alone for practice. It has helped loads and the OT upon seeing it commented on what a great idea it was. Recovery can be a long and boring time, especially in hospital, (my Mum was in for almost 3 months due to other complicating factors adding to her issues) these books really helped her to keep motivated and gave her something to focus on when she could.

Although the paper quality could be improved to prevent bleed-through, this minor issue doesn't overshadow the significant benefits we've observed. This activity book has become a source of hope, showing us that recovery is not only possible but also ongoing. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone facing similar challenges—it's become a vital part of our family's journey towards healing.
