I bought this to rebuild the cheap jumper clips set I bought from Bolo (https://www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B00D10KTLQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) back in August of 2016 (*to be fair, I didn't realize they'd lasted eight and a half years). I had a couple of them that were intermittent for a while, which I dealt with and just avoided using them, but knowing they're intermittent explains a lot of issues I was having. Once I discovered that they were failing, I stopped using the questionable ones, but I needed something to replace them.They weren't soldered, just crimped, and the wires were very small gauge with only -- maybe nine -- strands in the cable, which led to their eventual (and inevitable) failure. Rather than buying more of the same, and dealing with that lower-than-acceptable quality, I found this product. Being 16-awg, I knew it would be larger diameter, but WOW I wasn't expecting such a huge difference between the old and the new. I'm guessing the old were about a 22-AWG or so. Nonetheless, I was able to use the cable to rebuild the old ones (reusing the clips and boots), soldering the wire to the clips for a permanent and solid electrical AND physical connection. Plus, while it looks like the individual strands are the same gauge as those in the old cable, there must be a hundred of them in the new cable (probably not but look at the images to see the stark difference), AND, they're individually pre-tinned, so soldering was a breeze. I expect this rebuilt set to last me until the probably-aluminum hinge rivets of the clips wear apart and the clips themselves fail... at which point I'll just buy more clips because this wire is great and at this point I'd rather rebuild again and know what I'm getting than buy another complete set and have unknown quality.If I had a complaint, it would be that instead of white (all clip sets I've seen are red, black, green, yellow, and white) it comes with blue, but that doesn't change the operation or suitability of the product for this use so it's really a non-issue. And, having only used about 2 and a half feet of each color, I could -- if I wanted -- do it again at least once more.I would also be willing to use this wire to repair my multimeter leads, if those weren't molded in place on the connectors and probe tips.

The dispenser is very handy and the variety of colors is nice. Good for hobby electronic projects. The silicone insulation can be stripped with your fingernails. I used this wire to modify a guitar hero guitar.

No issues with functionality. The dispenser box is useless, as the wires kind of spring back inside when you let go or move it a bit. These are VERY flexible, which may be good for you, but it makes it very hard to hold in place for soldering or getting through wire channels in models and such.

The description of the wire states that it has a voltage rating of 300 volts. Then, further on in its description it states that the wire has a voltage rating of 600 volts. Once I received the wire, I found there was no voltage rating listed on the wire at all. Since I need wire with a voltage rating of 600 volts, I do not know if I can safely use it in my current project. They did however list the gauge size and temperature ratings on the wire. But, without knowing the true volage rating, I am unable to use it.
Nice flexible silicone wire. Happy.

Sehr flexibel und bruchsicherer als andere
The media could not be loaded. Was mich des Öfteren bei Projekten gestört hatte war, dass wenn ich Litzen verlötet hatte, diese sehr schnell brechen. Nur ein paar mal hin und her bewegen und schon sind die Litzen gebrochen und das Kabel hat keine ordentliche Verbindung mehr. Bei diesem Kabel kann ich es zehnmal hin und her bewegen bevor es bricht. Bei einem typischen Jumperkabel, habe ich schon des öfter verwendet, geht das nur fünfmal bevor es bricht, bei gleicher Stärke (28AWG)Außerdem ist es sehr flexibel und lässt sich dadurch leichter verlegen, ohne dass es unnötige Spannungen erzeugt. Die Ummantelung bleibt auch einigermaßen stabil wenn der Draht durch den Lötkolben erhitzt wird und zieht sich nicht zurück.
