Watching the grains fall and merge is oddly calming and made my workspace feel more creative and inviting.After just a few days several coworkers asked where I got it and ended up buying different colors for their own desks. It has become a conversation piece and adds a touch of decor and tranquility to the environment.Quality and design:Each frame feels sturdy and well made. The glass cover is clean and scratch free. The size is compact and takes up minimal desk space yet holds real presence. There are many versions of this item out there. This was the second option that I tried and it is VERY good. The edges are made of a rubbery like material meaning that you don't have to worry about it breaking easily if many people play with it. I really like that this one is made out of glass, adds a lot to the durability and look of the item. The main circle comes off of the base so you can play with the sand in many ways if you are feeling bored. It works exactly as advertised. Though be aware that it might come with too much sand (mine did) meaning that it might get stuck since the bubbles are too low for more sand to fall through; the upper layer of sand will be lower if that is the case.The hardest part about using this product is figuring out how much air you want inside. The instructions are not super helpful about this but you want to strike a balance where most of the time the bubbles will keep a small trickle of sand going down. It's fine if a lot of sand comes down at first, that's how it works. When adding or removing air, I would highly recommend waiting for all the bubbles to combine into one (might take a few hours if you already mixed them). Beware that you might accidentally introduce extra air if you are not careful with the syringe.

VERY pleased with my purchase!! I ordered one and loved it so much that we ordered another in a different color. It is so calming to watch the sand fall and see what the result will look like. I had ordered one from a different company and sent it back, it was no where near the quality of this item and it was more expensive!! I highly recommend this item !

Working professional here. 37 F. Nothing, and I mean nothing clusters my desk. I the person that has to clean the whole house before I can settle into work at home. This gizmo however is delightful. Nice colors, good construction, base has decent weight. I'm a geologist, so I spend my breaks inducing different kinds of sediment layers. Good time. Do not regret. Best 10$ I have spent in a while.

Unfortunately, I think I got one of the ones where the sand doesn't move. I've went to bed, and the next morning the sand is still stuck to the top. I have tried adjusting the air, but I have had no luck.
