This pfd is pretty comfortable. We bought it for my 4yr old because the one we had was a vest and while sitting the vest was too long and would ride up and it would press on his neck/chin. We bought this one and he loves it. Much more comfortable and he doesn’t get hot like hi did with the vest because this one has open back and it is not long so it didn’t bother him while sitting. It also floats quite well. We’ve tested it and works great floating on both his belly and his back. I was afraid the back part would prevent him from lifting his head on belly floats but it does not :) my son loves his vest and has not complained about getting too hot or being uncomfortable.

I wish I could give this 5 stars because it fits great, looks way more comfortable than a regular jacket, and seems soft!.. but it rubbed my kids neck raw after only a couple hours of wear. He was screaming from the burning. Idk if it's just the amount of activity he was doing or what, but I feel like this shouldn't happen so easily. The material feels super soft, but I imagine the up and down friction is what caused :(Also to add, he was not and did not get sunburned during the time of wear, so it wasn't that.
