I had bought a 50mm set (pellets, tray, and dome cover) at my local big box store. They expanded nicely, very plump and tall and I was very happy with them. I came here to get more peat pellet refills to go in the tray I already had. I seen the 42mm pellets here and though, well surely being only 8 mm shorter would be close enough, but these are not 42mm, they are 30mm fully expanded. I measured them and yes, I used very hot water to expand them.
