(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I couldn't believe how simple and affordable this process was.I would recommend this product. The amount of detail that was given about what foods my body have no reaction to and what foods to be aware of that cause me inflammation.Lists of metals present in your body, gut health etc.I think mine checked 1000 items and you can have other tests done your hair sample you send in right on the website its amazing once you get your personal report back I was able to look up on their website each category and get more detailed information on my sample and details on what they recommend ,just brilliant!!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Perimenopause gut changes
I was a little skeptical, but the results make sense.Very easy to do. Clipped a few strands of hair, put it in the mail and got my results the next week.I drink coffee almost every morning. I thought it was the flavors or almond milk that upset my stomach, turns out I am sensitive to coffee.Having these results makes food choices easier and helps control my gut issues. I’ve been struggling with what to eat for months now. I’m happy to make changes based on sensitivity.
4.0 out of 5 stars Results Recieved
Update - took longer than I expected but results were received.I had to request a refund on this. It is a scam as the results do not come. I am sad about it because I really wanted the results. Plus in worry about the fact that now they have biometric data and they are not legit.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised about this kit.
I was pleasantly surprised about this kit. I have done the Everlywell one before but that was just food intolerance and I was looking for a vitamin/mineral deficiency without having to pay an arm and a leg at the doctor (that appointment first) and then blood work for the test. I had a very itchy scalp and lots of hair loss so I was using this test to see what I was lacking so I could take a supplement. What this test was able to tell me was I did lack vitamin C and omega-3, which are important in helping hair growth. It all made sense since naturally the foods I eat does not contain those vitamins. I thought all I needed was collagen supplements and I would be on my way. Wrong, it was more than that and it would have never crossed my mind with the two minerals I was lacking was the issue. I got supplements for them and there certainly was an improvement. Without this test I would have never known. To take it, its super easy. Now the hair collected should be right from the BASE of your skin. So if you, in my case, loose hair when brushing I was able to just pull the hairs out with my hands, line them up and use the 1" sample (I cant recall the exact size, it might be 1/2") of the hairs from the base of my head. Oh yeah and they need 10. I got the results back within 7 days or so after I had to send it in and they got it. They had good communication and informed you by email and text that they received the samples and when the results were in.With the intolerance, some things were the same as with the Everlywell one. I didnt have anything that popped out as strong intolerance or anything like that so I think the results are equal to other tests out there.
1.0 out of 5 stars There’s a reason this is cheaper than others..
Update - I’m now even more convinced that this is a scam. After my sample was received it was radio silence until I reached out. Then I get one email stating they have my results and to expect them that day (9/20). Then a second contradictory email stating their lab had technical issues and had not been able to process my sample yet. Once again it goes silent for a week until I reach out and say forget it I am returning this to Bolo. Then a supervisor follows up and says results had already been sent... yes they were, coincidentally right after I submitted my complaint... I responded to that person outlining my experience again and stated that I felt previous communication had been dishonest and I have now lost faith in the legitimacy of their “test results”. I advised I would be sharing my experience with Bolo and submitting a return and stated I also wanted a refund for the up charge I paid directly to them for additional results. She just responded again and said “I see your results were sent on the 26th” - no acknowledgment at all of anything else. Just horrible customer service and like I said really giving the feeling of a scam …I have wanted to find out more about potential food sensitivities for some time, but most kits were around $150 so I never pulled the trigger. I was excited when I saw this one for $60. The instructions in the kit itself were very basic. I didn’t realize until looking on the website later that there were actually some helpful tips for getting a good sample that I should have followed. The site itself is not particularly user friendly, but I was able to register my kit and also spent an additional $17 adding on the cortisol test. I got an email saying my sample was received and to expect results in 1-4 business days. After that period passed I tried to use the chat on the site and the automated bot said results available in 1-3 days from sample received and then it ended the chat… okay, so I sent an email instead. I received a response from someone at the company who stated I would have them by the end of that day. Then a bit later I received an automated email stating results indefinitely delayed… that was several days ago and I have gotten nothing further. For me the lower price is not worth the frustration and especially not worth it considering I’ve gotten nothing for the money spent.
5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend
I highly recommend this product if your curious at all about any food intolerances you may have. I kept getting bloated after eating and having stomach pain all the time and I never knew why. The test was easy and quick and I found out I’m intolerant to so many different foods I didn’t know about and I was consuming on a daily. Now I know what to avoid and my gut health has never been better. I highly recommend!!
3.0 out of 5 stars Common Foods
I learned after that foods you frequently eat can also appear even if you don’t have a reaction.
5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive health information
I like how it gives comprehensive health info along with a list of foods to avoid, have occasionally or frequently. It showed I had not optimal results for my gut microbiome (from years of antibiotic use from sinus infections) so now I am upping my prebiotics and probiotics. So it gives helpful information. They also have supplements you can buy from them directly which are recommended based on your results.
If you are outside USA, do not buy this product.

I contacted the kit producer and they told me I was not supposed to buy this product in Germany and that the seller is not authorized to sell this product.
Very comprehensive test!
This is a very comprehensive test. Pages of detailed information. There were items that I was aware I had intolerances and deficiencies in but also some surprises. It gave me something to work on to improve my health with and I am very grateful. Highly recommended!
Good for Americans only!
I have bought 2 kits and I was disappointed since they don’t do Canadian customers.
