Home Assistant recognized it almost instantly—within less than a minute of pairing. It’s extremely responsive and reliable. I originally purchased it for its compact size, as I needed a small Zigbee sensor to fit inside my mailbox and notify me when mail is delivered. It’s absolutely perfect for that purpose. An added bonus is the built-in temperature sensor, which I didn’t realize I needed but now really appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend this sensor for anyone looking for a compact, responsive solution that integrates easily with Home Assistant.

I have an August lock that is supposed to provide some "door ajar" alerts. It never does, and the sensor does not integrate well with HomeKit. Recently, I put down a door mat that catches on my door and leaves it open, and I've had a few times where I've left the house and left my door wide open because I'm used to it closing behind me.I already have a few Aqara sensors around my house for leak detection, and a door sensor on a deck door that is harder to close and can get left ajar accidentally, so I decided to get another sensor for my front door.This sensor is perfect! It was easy to setup and get connected to my existing Aqara hub, and it works very well with HomeKit. I get notifications every time the door is open or closed, and in addition, priority alerts when the door is left open past my timeout setting (two minutes).Installing it was also a breeze, and one of the sensor parts is small enough that it fits on my recessed doorframe with just enough distance between the sensors for it to be effective detecting opening and closing. My Zigbee hub is close by, so it does not need to communicate over a long distance, which should probably help with battery life - however, the sensor on my other door is on a second floor and it communicates perfectly, and I have only had to replace its battery twice.I continue to be pleased with the Aqara ecosystem!

Anything from Aqara is great. I have these on doors, our mailbox and even our washing machine lid. They are super reliable and never fail. Pair directly to Home Assistant and run any automation. Battery life is long enough that I cant keep up with how long they last

I bought these because they're incredibly tiny and Aqara has a good reputation for seamless integrations with Home Assistant. (I don't use an Aqara hub or Alexa.)Pros:- They're very unintrusive. Being so small and rounded, you hardly even notice them.- Native Zigbee, so super low power and no proprietary hub needed.- Battery life, at least so far, has been decent: reporting about 65% after six months of use.Cons:- They were harder to connect than other Zigbee devices, requiring me to bring them very close to a relay or, if I'd already attached them to the door, plugging in a Zigbee outlet nearby temporarily.- They tend to disconnect slightly more often than other Zigbee devices, even in areas with very strong mesh coverage.Ultimately, I decided to go with Sonoff instead for the rest of alarmed doors. They're quite a bit larger, and the boxy shape catches the eye more, but they're much more reliable. And for something connected to my home security system, reliability is king.For interior doors that don't matter so much, I prefer these for their small size. They're great for non-critical automations like turning on the bathroom fan when the door closes, or adjusting thermostats depending on which doors are open.

Setting it up was incredibly easy, especially if you're already using the Aqara Hub or a compatible smart home ecosystem like Apple HomeKit. Within minutes, I had these sensors installed and working perfectly.The sensors are small, discreet, and blend seamlessly with my doors and windows. They are very responsive—notifications are almost instant whenever a door or window is opened or closed. I also love how they integrate with other Aqara devices and automations. For example, I’ve set them up to turn on lights when a door is opened, and it works flawlessly.The battery life is excellent as well, and I appreciate the low-maintenance design. Plus, the adhesive backing makes installation a breeze without the need for screws or tools.If you’re looking for a reliable, affordable way to enhance your home security or smart home setup, the Aqara Door and Window Sensor Kit is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Apple HomeKit ile beraber kullanıyorum, çok basit ve pratik kurulumu var. Daha once bir kaç tane vardı, tekrar eksik yerleri tamamladım. Fiyat performans ürünü benim için. Tavsiye 👍🏼👍🏼Aqara hub gerekiyor.

Acheté en octobre 2024 pour 44,79€, j'ai équipé mon logement de ces petits espions d'Aqara : porte-fenêtres, fenêtres ou porte d'entrée, tout y est passé. Autant vous dire que mon chez moi est maintenant plus surveillée que Fort Knox ! 😄L'installation ? Un jeu d'enfant ! Les autocollants double face fournis font le job parfaitement. Si vos ouvrants sont assez épais, vous pouvez même poser le plus petit élément sur la tranche. La détection se fait de face ou à 90°, avec une distance max de 2 cm.Côté réactivité, ces petits bijoux sont plus rapides que l'éclair ⚡. Ouverture, fermeture, tout est détecté en un clin d'œil. Fiabilité 100%, pas de faux positifs ni de ratés. C'est du solide !Maintenant, parlons autonomie. Les piles d'origine semblent s'épuiser assez rapidement, avec une baisse de 10 % en moins d'un mois. Bien que cela puisse être un problème avec les piles fournies, il est possible que d'autres modèles sur le marché offrent une meilleure autonomie. Pensez donc à prévoir des piles de qualité lors du prochain changement.Pour l'intégration, c'est un sans-faute. Je les ai branchés sur mon setup de pro : passerelle Zigbee 3 Sonoff, Raspberry Pi 3B, et Home Assistant. Ça fonctionne comme sur des roulettes !Les possibilités d'automatisation sont infinies.
