(Reviews of this product's quality has varied over time.) And it's 2025: the food storage methods that used to be the domain of "preppers" now extend to folks trying to stay ahead of potential supply chain or pricing issues.These beans are, indeed, small. I have yet to find dark spots or other signs of spoilage. Raw or sprouted, they cook up very nicely with a good texture in my Instant Pot, without soaking (one of the things for which Instant Pot is famous). They sprout really well, with few duds and no telltale odor to indicate general non-viability/rotting under sprouting conditions. They are not glyphosate free, and although I think we are approaching a point where that will be too much of an issue for the food industry to avoid, glyphosate-free right now comes at a cost.I am using a foodsaver & sealing bags to seal up these beans in 1 lb portions. Safe from moisture and air, I expect they'll keep past their expiration date - 11 months out I think -- although I expect germination viability for sprouting to go steadily down.

I liked these garbanzo beans, better than the ones I usually find in the asian store. The smell, size, and texture was similar to any dry garbanzo beans. But, I thought these were higher quality because they took less time to soak. It was also cheaper than what I usually find in the store. Great buy overall.

These chickpeas are so worth the purchase. They are practicely free. The effortless preparation for the gourmet creamy texture that you can use them in multiple recipes is a game changer for me. No more canned chickpeas for me. You haven't had chickpeas until you make them fresh. Needless to say I am a total satisfied customer that will be buying this product again and again.

These are a better quality than the wholefoods 365 ones I bought for a couple of years. These are much cheaper. I just hate i have to wait a while to get them due to shipping. I had no issues with dark spotted ones like 365 once soaked. I use garbanzo beans for almost everything. I soak overnight night and boil in the am for about an hour. I stopped using canned a couple of years ago and I'm telling you the flavor is on another level. Canned garbanzo beans have this weird taste. Get these instead.

These garbanzo beans are a pantry essential in my home. They come perfectly cooked—tender but not mushy—and are great for everything from hummus to salads and stews. I love how convenient they are straight out of the can, with no soaking or boiling needed. The flavor is mild and earthy, which makes them ideal for a variety of recipes. One downside is the sodium content, so I usually rinse them before using. Also, I wish the cans were BPA-free.
