Not as easy as other reviewers have reported. Make sure your smart tv has the latest software update; connect exactly as directed. After watching a YouTube video & using a google search I finally was able to get this soundbar connected.Sound is very good at high volume , great bass from subwoofer. Great value for the money & has worked very well since initial frustration with connection.

I had recently purchased a Sony 65X90L TV which has a great picture but a sub-par audio output for a 1000 dollar TV. I am beginning to wonder is this is by design, since they even have special settings for voice which does not help that much and even advertise the sound bars as being able to make the voices clearer. Certainly they seem to know about this problem and have a ready solution for it. Spend extra bucks for a Sony sound bar. This sound bar makes everything clear. The primary weakness with is is that the despite having a separate sub-woofer, the sub is on the light side even with the level set to max. Is it adequate? Yes it is, but just barely.,If you are looking for a booming woofer, move on. If you are looking to spend the minimum amount to bring your TV into the usable and decent range audio wise, then this one is perfectly fine. As others have mentioned, it integrates with the TV controls. IE: When you use the TV remote to control the volume, the sound bar changes too. It comes with an optical cable, but not a HDMI-ARC cable. It works fine either way however, but if you use the optical, you still need a standard HDMI cable to get the integrated audio control to work.

This has added so much to out TV watching experience. Woofer is just enough to know it is there but not be too annoying. So much easier to hear things and some things, like gun shots, can be quite shocking. Sound quality? My not be for audiophiles but for our ears it is great. Remote control for adjustment is nice - one set up you may not need to use it again. Bluetooth connections to our smartphones is easy and works a lot better than the smaller remote Bluetooth speakers. I like the fact that the woofer is a wireless connect - just plug it in and go.

I love this sound bar. I have it hooked up to a Sony tv using an HDMI ARC cable and the compatibility is amazing. One of the things I looked for in a sound bar is clear audios, especially for movies that the music overpowers the dialogue. There are times where it feels like the sound is a little cheap but I want to blame that more on what I’m watching/playing. Otherwise, the sound is so crisp my neighbors could watch my TV from my window and still hear everything if I have it loud enough. I’ve only had an issue with connectivity once but it was an easy fix once you get to know the system; a short nuisance if anything. I barely use the remote control since I control everything from my TV remote, but I do find it nice that I can use the sound bar remote to adjust the bass. I did get the speaker on sale, but I feel like it’s been worth every penny so far.

It would be difficult to describe every thing that I dislike about the sound bar. First, mounting it under a 42 inch top-of-the-line Sony TV is really sloppy because it has only two keyholes for mounting. So it really can’t be mounted level or flush, but just kinda hangs there from the keyholes that are there. This of course creates a gap of light underneath your sleek TV and sound bar.Secondly, it is infuriating trying to actually get the TV program to match with the Sony sound bar using the Sony TV. It’s constantly switching back-and-forth between TV speakers and the HDMI sound bar speakers. Of course you can shut everything down, which is easy if everything is hooked up to the same surge protector, and restart everything. Then for a short period of time the TV and the sound bar sound will work together. But that’s just for a little while. Maybe within an hour, maybe the same day or certainly by the next day you gotta go through the whole sequence again to get things to sync . And then when the TV and speaker do come on together and you switch channels, well then then all is lost. This is just an absolute piece of junk.

This was so easy for me to connect to my TV. The soundbar attaches to my TV whenever I turn it on. Normally I am not the one to hook up sound equipment to our TVs. This time I thought I would give it a try to surprise my husband. The instructions were easy to follow and included a few diagrams. That made it so easy for me to follow. I had no trouble at all.Pros:Great sound and base.Easy to hook upCons: 2 days before the return window closed the soundbar went haywire. It went silent then it would come back on at an alarmingly loud volume. This happened multiple times. Bolo being Bolo accepted my return request even though I no longer had the original packaging. All I had to do was return it in an Bolo box. Awesome. I chose a refund vs. replacing it other merchandise.I reduced the stars to 3 because of the hardware issue. Before that this soundbar definitely rated 5 stars.
Sony no decepcione!
Lo compré para ponérselo a mi tráiler, lo traigo casi todo el tiempo sonando en mis largas jornadas de manejo y lo puedo recomendar, no ha habido fallas, buen sonido, buena fidelidad, buena compra!

It's an excellent sound system with Sony's crisp clear sound quality and high quality built and materials.While it's not a full theater sound system and does not provide a full theater surround system experience, it still is a huge step up from the TV speakers. It doesn't give a huge "wow" factor but it does a great job providing a crisp clear sound. The bass is not over bloated and is smooth, which is great for watching the movies. It's ok for listening to the music but it's not what it is designed for.The TV used to pair this soundbar with is Sony Bravia XR X90K. I tried to use Bluetooth connection, which was immediately recognized by both devices and the sound quality was good with no delays or whatsoever. Also, tried with an 8K UHD ARC HDMI certified high quality cable through an eARC port on TV. The TV immediately recognized that there is a Sony Soundbar connected and offered to complete a setup. The bass lines do sound slightly crispier through the cable but the difference between BT and HDMI is hardly any noticeable.
