Hikvision support page says:"End-user support is intended for product usage-related inquiries such as playback and export. Limited remote viewing support may be provided if related to Hik-Connect Cloud. Direct support with local networking is not offered. For installation, programming, or troubleshooting, please engage the services of a local professional installer or contractor. "SO, unless you are experienced with the networking requirements of PoE cameras, prepare to pay a professional to get this NVR initially configured. I submitted a Hikvision Support ticket asking some basic questions and got no reply. Also, while I was installing the hard drive, I noticed the power supply was rated at a maximum of 190 watts. With 16 PoE channels, that is 11.875 watts per channel -- not counting the power requirements of the main board, led's, fans, etc. The specs say 15 watts per channel, which is impossible unless you use fewer than 16 cameras. I'll be returning this NVR.

This is being used to surveille equipment functionality.The POE is so convenient and the system set itself up with very little interaction from me. I had a camera which did not work with its own manufacturers NVR but when I attached it to this HIKVision unit, it set up and displayed without much configuration at all.Great value for money

When we called HIK for support they told us they could support the unit because it was blacklisted.
