I ordered it sick of other insulated mugs that were warm in the morning. Not this one. Ice until you are ready to refill.

After using several plastic water bottles on my long bike rides for many years, and being constantly disappointed with the water where the ice was melted before the halfway point of my ride, I decided to look for an insulated bottle that would fit my bike water holders. I found 2 that seemed the right size and claimed to keep water cold for 24 hours. The Konokyo 18 oz Stainless Steel Double Wall Vaccum Metal Water Flask with Leak-proof (Straw Lid) and the Fanhaw 20 Oz Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with 1 Lid (Chug Lid). The 18oz bottle has stated measurements of 8.5” x 2.93” with a measured opening of 2.25” while the 20oz bottle has stated measurements of 9.33” x 2.76” with a stated opening of 1.96”. In reality the 18oz bottle measured just over 9” with lid and 7.75” without and a width of 2.96”, while the 20oz bottle measured 9.25” with lids and 8.25” without and a width of 2.88”. Both bottles fit easily into my bike bottle holders with the 18oz bottle being a bit tighter which may make it more secure over rugged terrain. I prefer chug lids over straw lids which gives an advantage to the 20oz bottle, plus the extra 2oz would be welcomed. So I decided to test both bottles as they both state to keep water cold for 24 hours. The first thing I noticed when filling both bottles was the narrower opening in the 20oz bottle which made it harder for the ice dispenser to hit home. So anyway, I loaded 25 ice cubes in each bottle and filled them with water and measured the them both at 40F 10 minutes later. 8 hours later I opened them up to measure the 18oz at 38F and the 20oz at 36F. At 18.5 hours, the the 18oz was 41F and had no ice, while the 20oz was still 36F and had ice. At 24 hours the 18oz was 44F while the 20oz was 40F. At 31 hours the 18oz was at 52F while the 20oz was 46F. At 40 hours the 18oz was 56F while the 20oz was 52F. My last measurement was at 48 hours where the 18oz was 60F and the 20oz was 54F. What this told me was that I could keep water colder for longer with the 20oz Fanhaw bottle with chug top over the 18oz Konokyo bottle with straw top. Maybe the smaller opening at the top is why it stayed cold longer? Neither bottle would disappoint me on my bike rides since they only last up to half a day, but the more friendly bigger opening on the 18oz bottle makes it easier to load ice and its slightly thicker footprint makes it more secure on my bike. Now I just have to find a chug lid for the 18oz bottle since it seems to be a more standard size (2.25”) versus the more narrow opening (1.96”) of the 20oz bottle. Looking online I cannot find replacement lids for the 20oz bottle of different types or as a replacement, and I have yet to find a chug lid for the 18oz that has a two finger holder. Without a chug lid for the 18oz bottle I will probably just use the 20oz bottle and just replace it completely when needed since it keeps the water colder and provides those 2 extra ounces. At around $10 for either bottle, do replacement lids matter?

I like the lite weight and feel of this insulated drink bottle. It fits my hand, it fits my bike water bottle cage, it fits my car's drink holders, it fits my my day pack and it "holds my beer!" The "chug lid" works really well. It opens with the push of a button and closes with a click. It seals well, no leaks; however, you need to make sure that the silicone rubber ring gask for the top seal doesn't fall out when you drop the lid.The bottle keeps an iced drink cold for a day.if you precool it. The 20 oz size is perfect for whatever libation you want to keep cool. I got a smoke'n deal on the aqua green one, so I bought two. I don't need a fancy color and the blue-green one. You can't buy a plastic bike bottle that doesn't keep liquids cold for $10. Good value for the money.Finally, the bottle is really rugged. I've been riding my bike, had the bottle fall out, hit the ground, and skid and roll with no damge.

I am a fanatical bike rider. Currently, I ride 40-50 miles per day (mid-summer) in Florida, so having something cold to drink is mandatory. I have gone through 3-4 other brands of insulated bottles, including the biggest one in insulated bottles. Nothing is better than this one.I bought the Fanhaw 20 oz. size because it fits best in my bottle cages. It is the most compact 20 oz. insulated bottle I have owned. In spite of its compact size, it keeps my water as cold or colder than any other bottle I have used.I load the bottle with ice cubes and then add water to top off. I carry a refill bottle of water to refill my Fanhaw 2-3 times per ride. I have never run out of ice in the bottle. Cold to start, cold to end.It has a carry handle that snaps flush to the bottle when not needed. It has a pop-up lid. It has a drinking spout, and a breathe hole so the water flows freely. It is well made and attractive. It is very competitively priced.One tip for something I had to learn. I tend to drink from the bottle sideways (the popup lid to the side). That doesn't work with this bottle. The breathe hole needs to be above the spout for it to work effectively, and then it works very well.Bottom line, I have purchased two and will likely purchase again.

I like the way it opens and closes, there’s a small hole to allow air to circulate through the lid when drinking (so you can drink without an airlock) and it’s watertight when closed, with a lock clasp to prevent accidental opening. In addition, the lid has a handy carry handle and it all fits neatly into my car drinks holder.The only negative, is that if you tip the bottle up too high at the start of drinking, water comes out of the ‘air hole’ so make sure you don’t tip it as you would a plastic bottle for example.

So far so good, the lid is perfect, the water stays cool and tastes better than plastic bottles.The size is perfect to take to the gym or in your car's cupholders. The lid has a lock and carrying option.
