It's absolutely worth it
As a vinyl only dj (until a few days ago) I want to start by saying that the sound and construction quality are both top notch. The distortion and noise from external decks is almost nonexistent. The blending in the mixer is fantastic and the adjustment in the magvel cross fader makes transitioning from smooth mixing to scratching effortless. Fantastic as a mixer alone! I had a decent 2 channel denon mixer previously. No bells and whistles, but good sound and quality. This is definitely on another level.Now, as a vinyl only dj, I can also say that there is a bit of a learning curve if you've never used a controller before. However, after watching some tutorial videos I was on my way. I'm sure that others more experienced with controllers will be able to give a better assessment of this controller's full spectrum of abilities... but for me, this has revitalized my love of music! Playing with the beat fx alone has taken my mixing to another level.I was trying to get my hands on a ddj1000srt for months, but was unsuccessful. I saw pioneer was releasing this controller and decided to hold out for one. It was worth every penny and every month of extra waiting!

This is an incredible innovation for turntablists. Having spent most of my DJ career on SL1200s, embracing serato, and eventually adding a Rane 12 to my setup, the DDJ REV7 is by far the most impressive piece of DJ technology I’ve used to date. It feels like vinyl but offers all the digital tools modern DJs love. The build quality is great, though I must admit I’ve never used a rane one so I cannot compare. Setup was easy and it took mere moments to get comfortable using this controller. The portability of this unit is another plus. With an all in one build this eliminates so much extra gear to haul into a venue. The size of the jog wheels allows plenty of room for scratching and the built in screens are next level. I could go on and on about the features but I recommend looking online for more comprehensive breakdowns. In the end, it’s certainly not cheap, but if you’re in the market for new gear, this is the new standard for modern gigging turntablists.

this is my 2nd controller, as I previously owned (and loved) the DDJ REV1. I've only been learning for about a year, but this controller is amazing. I really want to learn to scratch, and this seems to be the most realistic, non-turntable controller available. I wanted to stick with Pioneer DJ stuff, and I haven't been disappointed. This thing is pretty good size and heavy, and I would recommend a case, and some type of dust cover. I've had this for about 2 months and the more I learn about it, the more I like it.

I was using a Rev1 and saw the Rev7 available and immediately got it since they are sold out everywhere. Absolutely well worth the buy, everything about the Rev7 is amazing. Took some getting used to but definitely loving it. Extremely fast shipping, thank you!
Really great controller when it worked.
Giving this item 3 stars. I really liked the product but a few days (less than a week) after owning it, it died. Reached out to Pioneer to get it serviced but was told I needed to pay for shipping to the service center. Decided it would be easier to return it and purchase another one once I get my money refunded.
